Banter vs Bullying

Some really key points to consider:

▪️Banter has buy-in, speaking out around bullying does not
▪️Recognise your audience! (Body language/facial expressions)
▪️The term “joke” is seen as a defence to bullying

One reason I think people put too many words on a slide is they want to use it as a script rather than having to rehearse and memorize what they are going to say. But that's exactly what makes for a great presentation - a memorized, internal script paired with simple visuals.

Opening new selective sixth forms is the solution to exactly zero problems in our system. At least some commentary talks of elite (aka elitist) provision; let’s not pretend it’s social justice or raising system standards etc. It’s glitter dust; all sparkle no substance.
