Hunter Biden is reportedly launching a meme coin in 2 DAYS 🚨

And yes, it’s literally called $LAPTOP

According to the WSJ, the token is expected to launch September 9 on Base.

Here’s what we know:

ticker: $LAPTOP
chain: Base
1B total supply
30% allocated to founders, including Hunter Biden
founder tokens locked for 6 months, then gradually unlocked over 2 years
20% allocated partly to $TRUMP holders

The entire token is basically built around Hunter Biden’s infamous laptop story and positioned as a political jab at Trump.

Which means the next 48 hours will probably be filled with fake $LAPTOP tokens.

So here’s what I’m watching:

Hunter Biden

The strongest confirmation would obviously come directly from Hunter or people officially involved with the launch.

Until that happens, I wouldn’t treat any contract circulating on CT as the real one.

- Base

The WSJ report says $LAPTOP will launch on Base.

So if you see a “Hunter Biden $LAPTOP” launching on Solana, Ethereum or another chain, that’s already a massive red flag.

The contract

Once a potential CA appears, don’t buy just because the ticker matches.

Check:

deployer
supply
ownership
mint permissions
holders
liquidity
contract verification

There will probably be dozens of $LAPTOP contracts before the real one is confirmed.

The deployer is probably one of the most important things to watch.

- $TRUMP holders

This is where things get interesting.

According to the report, part of the 20% allocation will go to investors in the official Trump memecoin.

If that distribution happens onchain, the wallets and snapshot mechanics could give us another way to identify the legitimate token.

So the sequence I’m looking for is basically:

official signal

one canonical CA
↓
Base
↓
verified deployer
↓
1B supply
↓
liquidity
↓
$TRUMP distribution
↓
confirmation across official channels

Right now we are still at step zero.

LAPTOP reportedly launches September 9.

Until the real CA is confirmed, assume every $LAPTOP you see is fake.
