Abdullah Majid

World-renowned philosopher. Ranked 376th most intelligent man alive. Public intellectual. Thinker. Visionary. Frequently misunderstood by lesser minds.

[Abdullah Majid @Robbie6153]

Greetings. I am Abdullah Majid: philosopher, polymath, amateur epistemologist and officially the 376th most intelligent man alive.* I shall be correcting the internet one magnificently overcomplicated argument at a time.

*Ranking conducted by myself.

Hi @CloverKayne @AmandaZHutton
I’ve recently composed There Was Room for You, an aria from my forthcoming opera Jude the Obscure.
I’d love to hear what you think.

Civilisation has produced Widor, Bach, Dante and myself. Now comes Abbey of Shadows: Gothic Toccata in D Minor. Hear its cathedral thunder. so even the spiritually undernourished may briefly encounter majesty. #OrganMusic #GothicMusic

@mathhub_vn As the 376th most intelligent person in the world, I hesitate to humiliate Euclid’s descendants, but (50²−1)/51 = 2499/51 = 49, and √49 = 7. The Pythagoreans would have sacrificed an ox; I shall merely await the applause.

[Abdullah Majid @Robbie6153]

@RobertJenrick As Hobbes never quite said: history eventually sends an invoice. Political choices have consequences, however tragic the result. One may dispute the account, but Gaza cannot simply declare the ledger metaphysically void. Even Hegel would ask who ordered the room service.

[Abdullah Majid @Robbie6153]

@BasilTheGreat As the 376th most intelligent man in the world, I note that replacing a TV licence with an internet levy is less fiscal reform than metaphysical migration: the tax has merely escaped the television and entered the router. Cicero warned us about this, probably.

[Abdullah Majid @Robbie6153]

@KayBurley One may debate borders from Dover to Diogenes, but puncturing an occupied dinghy is less “political praxis” than maritime idiocy. Even Hobbes, who thought life nasty and brutish, probably assumed you’d wait until the rescue worker got off the inflatable.

[Abdullah Majid @Robbie6153]

@Englishmedam The answer is A: “became.” The past event (“opened”) governs the change of state. British and American English are united here—a rare Anglo-American concord. Choosing “had become” would require an earlier past reference point; otherwise it is grammatical theatre.

[Abdullah Majid @Robbie6153]

@MasterMaliq What people publicly profess and privately believe are often different species entirely. As Oscar Wilde said: “Give him a mask, and he will tell you the truth.” The human mind is less a transparent window than a committee meeting where half the members deny attending.

[Abdullah Majid @Robbie6153]

@GBNEWS An “incorrect assumption” has now entered the jurisprudential phase of its life cycle. Somewhere, a barrister is preparing to explain that a misunderstanding has acquired sufficient metaphysical density to become billable. Hobbes warned us about the state of nature.

[Abdullah Majid @Robbie6153]

@GBNEWS @Nigel_Farage Ah yes, the ancient science of geopolitical physiognomy: one glance at a man’s posture and suddenly we possess privileged access to his inner consciousness. Descartes had “I think, therefore I am.” Westminster now has “He looked awkward, therefore history has spoken.”

[Abdullah Majid @Robbie6153]

I once defeated Noam Chomsky in a debate at MIT on dialectical materialism in the 21st century. He cited Marx. I cited Marx, Hegel, quantum uncertainty and a graph I had drawn myself. The audience stood. Chomsky sighed. History moved forward.

@IsabelOakeshott Beneath the thunder, there is a serious point: governments cannot endlessly outsource responsibility to their predecessors. Border control and public safety are functions of the state, not a Westminster relay race in which accountability is forever passed to the previous runner.

[Abdullah Majid @Robbie6153]

Burnham has now elevated Brexit into quantum politics: Britain is simultaneously in, out and potentially back in the EU until somebody opens the manifesto. Schrödinger would be proud; the electorate may merely require a customs declaration.

[Abdullah Majid @Robbie6153]

@Gracie_Blue89 @TheNorfolkLion A truly seismic revelation. Had this declaration not been formally issued, one can only assume the public would have remained permanently oblivious, heroically ignoring every conceivable contextual clue with the forensic awareness of a garden chair.

[Abdullah Majid @Robbie6153]

@GBNEWS At this stage, Meghan has explored almost every artistic frontier her modest arsenal of talents can plausibly sustain. Acting, podcasts, lifestyle branding, documentaries — radio is less a career move than the final unexplored province of the celebrity-industrial complex.

[Abdullah Majid @Robbie6153]

Sheeran has entered the exquisite dialectical trap: perform, and he’s complicit; cancel, and he’s performative. A perfect modern morality play in which every available choice is evidence of guilt. Even Kafka would ask for a refund. #EdSheeran #Macklemore #CultureWars

[Abdullah Majid @Robbie6153]

@RobertJenrick A fascinating new branch of economics: raising the allowance is “good”, raising any other tax is forbidden, and every lost pound of revenue must apparently be found by shaking the welfare state like a vending machine. Keynes must be furious he missed this.

[Abdullah Majid @Robbie6153]

@GBNEWS Mae penodi Helen Jenner yn cynrychioli nid yn unig newid arweinyddiaeth, ond ailgyflunio ontolegol o’r berthynas rhwng sofraniaeth, hunaniaeth Gymreig a’r wladwriaeth ôl-fodern. Nid person sydd wedi’i phenodi yma, ond symbol byw o wrthddywediadau epistemolegol ein hoes.

[Abdullah Majid @Robbie6153]

@Nigel_Farage Nid penodiad yn unig yw hwn, ond ail-lunio ontolegol o sofraniaeth Gymreig. Byddai Habermas angen paned i’w ddeall.
