Matthew 7:5 (NIV): "You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brotherโs eye." - Jesus Christ, the grand master of #whataboutery. Only on Twitter is exposing hypocrisy not a virtue - don't accept it.
If Australia wants to start heading in the right direction then reforming our tax system has to be of the highest priority.
Our tax base is severely eroded because our tax act allows foreign companies to pay less tax than Australian companies making all Australians poorer.
What's so frustrating about all of this is that Treasury and the ATO are aware of this issue and does nothing about it, yet are more than happy to increase taxes on Australians.
It beggars belief for example that the ATO has not updated our tax treaty with Ireland since 1983 as billions of dollars are being sent there by Multinationals to avoid paying tax in Australia.

Being honest about the vaccine - even in the small way they express here - would not have undermined public health, but it would have undermined the mandates.
That's why they didn't do it.
โThere were degrees of scepticism that we all naturally did haveโฆโ

It's called the "wealth effect" - people felt richer because their house valued soared so they spent more - but it papered over the deep problems in the economy we must finally address.
The solution? Bring back a manufacturing economy, so more workers produce real wealth.
I will always add the caveat to mainstream media reporting: "if true".
But parties should not set policies based on requests from donors.
I'm sure all the major parties do it, because that's how their big donors roll, but isn't ON supposed to be different?
Ahead of the Victorian state election, One Nation is scooping up donations from wealthy business people who have previously only donated to the Liberal Party.

One of the surprising things that I learned from the Iran War is that if you start a war against another country and, on the first day, you bomb one of their schools filled with 170 young girls, the people in that country will get angry about it and hate you for a long while:
I just don't understand why he would say this. You can think it. You can do the needful. Why would you come out and say this? To be an asshole because you can?
This week I will be in Victoria doing a number of meetings to outline People Firsts/Party solutions for today and vision for tomorrow.
Details are in comments. There is no admission charge.
I will also be talking about our merger with the Australian Citizens Party and our plans going forward including other mergers.
We do recognise the need to merge with other minor parties so that we can hold the major parties to account and I intend to keep working on that.
I will also explain why the commentary around minor parties splitting the vote is wrong. Under our preferential voting system, voters have to number every box.
It's extremely important to able to send a message to the major parties without wasting your vote.
That's what preferential voting does. By voting for minor parties first you can express your dissatisfaction with the major parties but still vote for the major party of your choice so that Labor doesn't get in.
None of the major parties have any solutions to actually fix the underlying structural imbalances of our economy. That's why voting for the Peoples Party first is so important.
While major parties find a problem for every solution we have a solution for every problem.

Zionists tried to expose Kostakidis โmotivationsโ, but now their own motivations are at question in the court.
โIf there were communications which suggested that, even before the first of the Posts, Mr Cassuto, or others with whom he was in contact and who were in a position to influence his decisions, were considering or planning some kind of complaint or legal action against Ms Kostakidis โฆ then that may support an inference that Mr Cassuto was not personally offended by the Posts,โ Justice McDonald wrote.
