Please share and help if you are able. This is a young family that didn’t have a lot to begin with. Now homeless & sheltered in a tiny room at a church with another family of 6. 10 ppl in tiny room on cots. #CampFire
Lots of ppl want to donate items many evacuees have a cot in a tiny area and not able to keep a lot of items with them. My nephew, his wife and 2 girls share a tiny room with 6 others in a church. Please donate gift cards for food places and maybe a movie too. #CampFire
@BallingerMom@erinnjhale I don’t know where you heard this, the homes were already a loss, these vehicles were away from the active fire and able to be saved. The homes were going to be a total loss. Many agencies would not risk their firefighters lives to save possessions.
@Farinhyte Seriously? Have you ever escaped from a fire, one that is burning the back of your home while trying to get the kids in the car in front in time to flee with your life, only to be overrun with flames? People barely got out alive. Have a little compassion. Please.
If you evacuated and not in an official evacuation shelter, please, check in with the Red Cross. Many elderly don’t have cell phones and/or have address books with them to let family know their ok. #CampFire
@marinmamas They are inundated with clothes and such. Gift cards and cash donations are much appreciated so that can get what they really need. Many places cannot take anymore donations.
@jacqquelinewalk Yep, mega-millionaires, it is sad too, but they have more resources and access to money and housing than people in Paradise, Concow and Magalia do. 25% of the population is elderly, ones that are bed-ridden, don’t have cars and rely on others for transportation. It’s sickening.
This is my nephew, wife Laurie and their 2 girls. They lost their home and almost everything , plus its the youngest girls birthday. They need some help. Thank you!!! https://t.co/JfpycTtT4b. #CampFire
I wish people would quit posting the fake thing about the Board of Forestry recommending putting out buckets of water for wildlife. They know their water sources. This was taken from some meme years ago and is not true. Forestry experts do not recommend this. #campfire
