The 18-year-old has become the first Australian to break the 20-second barrier, running in 19.67 at the 200m final at the Australian Athletics Championships, smashing his previous best of 20.02. 🏃🇦🇺

It came after Lachie Kennedy withdrew from the 200m showdown.

In any other race, it'd be a record for his competitor, Aidan Murphy, who also ran 19.88 to break the 20-second mark.
