Watching Jamie Raskin (D) on Meet the Press explaining how Trump should be impeached, siting refusing to implement laws, spending money in a manner not prescribed by Congress, totally disrespecting the legislative branch...Hhmmm all sounds like Andy Beshear
I am honored to stand up for KY law enforcement and sponsor bills like SB10 and SB104!
In a time when progressive groups are calling for defunding police and protecting law breakers, I'm proudly standing up for the men and women that make our communities safe!
Great infrastructure project funding from HB900...the disciplined budget process that the General Assembly has been focusing on results in this type of re-investment into our KY communities!
Announced a $1M Congressional Community Funding Project I secured (to go along with a $1M state project obtained by Rep Payne and Sen Mills) for Henderson Water Utility #KY1
@Hodgson4KY I agree 100%...if this was Kentucky or another state with photo ID verification, how could the judge compare the photo to the person trying to vote...Maybe we need to add this to our voting statute (?)
This is the truth...and it applies to almost every "chicken little" scare tactic that the Governor has promoted in his Thursday cool-aid drinking session with the Frankfort media!
ICYMI: Kentucky experienced a significant revenue surplus as a result of the sound fiscal and pro-business policies championed by the Kentucky General Assembly
While Governor Andy Beshear called the surplus "unexpected," not all surprises are created equal. In late 2025, when the governor projected an approximate $300 million budget shortfall, Senate Appropriations and Revenue Committee Chair Chris McDaniel pushed back, saying, "There won't be a budget shortfall. I'm not worried about that at all," and questioned the administration's projections.
By December 2025, the official revenue forecast had already reduced the projected shortfall to approximately $156 million. When the fiscal year closed, Kentucky finished with revenues $320.6 million above the original budget estimate.
At 1 p.m. ET tomorrow, the Interim Joint Committee on Appropriations and Revenue will receive an official update on the state's end-of-fiscal-year revenue numbers as State Budget Director John Hicks testifies.
Tune in for the discussion and hear the latest on Kentucky's fiscal outlook. Links to tomorrow's meeting are available in the comments, including news stories that offer additional background.
Indulge me here… What if we made every Olive Garden a polling place on Election Day? They already know how to handle photo IDs. Mandatory pasta after you vote? You could check someone for garlic breath at the door to see if they had already voted at another Olive Garden. An almost flawless plan.
@treswatson So what is wrong with Photo ID to vote and voter roll audits (SAVE Act)? Why would any elected official be opposed to it and why shouldn't the Senate vote it and make the D's show their colors??
This week at the White House State Leadership Conference, @Taxeconomist joined members of the Kentucky delegation: including Senate President @kysenatepres, Rep. Kim Moser (@5boymom), and Sen. @RobbyMillsforKY.
Big Thanks to @POTUS for believing in and supporting "clean, beautiful coal"!! $118M coming to EKPC & Duke to improve efficiencies and extend the life of KY's coal fleet!! #coal
Could you imagine during the Biden, Obama or Clinton presidencies, if the Department of Homeland Security was unfunded because of Republicans blocking the funding, and the President was attacked multiple times...wander what the media and Democrats reaction would be?
This report mirrors what I see and hear across the state. Republicans should unite behind Comer and help give us the financial war chest to crush the Democrats in the General!
@nkyish@treswatson @JColemanKY No lies here, burner account named "Daniel"...LG makes $150K per year, she has 1.5 years left in the term, so the taxpayer will paid her $225K to campaign for herself, plus the taxpayers will pay for her transportation, security and probably meals while campaigning!
@malcolm_talks@treswatson As a Legislator, Im only paid when I do legislative work...so the state of KY paid me zero when I was running with Daniel Cameron for LG.
