Today the Committee for Home Affairs has announced changes to The Police Complaints Regulations, with the aim of improving the way complaints are handled.

Searching questions about complaints made at Les Nicolles Prison have been directed to the Committee for Home Affairs by a deputy frustrated that a constituent has waited more than 10 weeks for answers to a freedom of information request. https://t.co/8HvJjRTW41
@richarddigard@ShaneLanglois And yet, despite frequent admissions of a broken system, no one seems intent on fixing it? I don’t get it. I really don’t.
Please help out for little Margo and her Marvellous Mind, the little girl with a devastating brain injury caused by a lack of oxygen at birth.
She’s one of a gorgeous set of triplets and her Mum is trying to raise funds for new stem cell treatment

🇬🇬 After being contacted about rising electricity prices, as well as noticing people’s concerns more generally, I wrote to STSB (the committee responsible for GEL).

The 84-metre super-yacht 'Savannah' has anchored in the Little Russel off St Peter Port harbour.
The world’s first ever hybrid super-yacht was also the filming location of the 2025 Netflix film, The Woman in Cabin 10 🎬
Victimhood has become a moral currency.
We’ve built a culture that ranks people by oppression, then mistakes that ranking for understanding. But people aren’t categories. They’re individuals.
And once you lose that, you stop seeing what actually drives success and better outcomes in the real world and instead promote mediocrity and grievance-mongering.
14 trays of bananas collected from Waitrose today, 3 have gone to Rodley Park residents, Olio volunteers are collecting some, but plenty left

I’m not getting into that debate as it misses the point of this survey. A deputy or deputies (among others) has (have) claimed that only a small, vocal minority refuse to support GST+.
I want proof that this claim is true (or not). This is, essentially, a data collection exercise.
🚨 YOUR VOICE MATTERS — PLEASE TAKE 20 SECONDS TO HELP 🚨
The States of Guernsey is considering proposed GST+ tax changes; some among us believe that most islanders support the changes — with only a small number opposed.
If you feel differently, this is your chance to say so.
This short survey is completely anonymous and takes around 20 seconds to complete:

You don’t need to comment publicly or debate online — just take a few seconds to make your voice heard.
Please also share the survey with friends, family, and anyone else who may want their view noted. The more people who respond, the clearer the picture will be.
Thank you for taking the time to help.
During Assembly last October, the President of Home Affairs said electronic tagging was a priority:
“Deputy Burford mentioned tagging, and that is a common theme running through. Tagging is part of the Justice Framework and a part of the action plan that we are going to be preparing to try and get through some of these crunchy justice pieces.
“Tagging is right up there. Tagging is one of our priorities.
“We are going to be looking at sentencing guidelines because the report makes a specific recommendation to the Committee about tagging and we prioritise the review of sentencing this term, and also review of sentencing was highlighted as part of the Justice Framework approved by the Assembly and it is subject to four of the recommendations from the original Justice Review.”

@GuyPlummer34449 Thank you.
P&R mentioned a survey at the end of last year (link below) - I don’t know if it went ahead? P&R’s ostensive target was 250 respondents. I hope this survey will garner, at minimum, double that. So please share!
