GM agin, i wanted to make this post to recap the stories I have been covering the last few days here about each section of the kaidro universe for those how may have missed them. $KDR
Check out the thread below on all the different story posts that were made. 👇🧵
This first one here is about the animation development.
The first one in the thread will be about the holistic view of developing Kaidro and after that it will cover each of the different sections of the IP.
GM! Thanks for sticking with me through these long posts as we dive into the complexities of Kaidro.
Today, let's talk about the development of our animation series. We haven't discussed this much because it's quite detailed.
Where are we with the animation series development?
It's a complex answer because our IP spans multiple mediums. Here's a simplified breakdown:
- Learning from Anime: Like popular series such as "Fullmetal Alchemist," "Naruto," and "One Piece," where manga serves as the storyboard for anime, we've taken a similar approach but with a twist.
- Starting with the end in mind: We began by creating 3-D assets in Unreal Engine 5 for our Webtoons and print manga. This choice allows us to use the same high-quality assets for cinematic TV, movies, and games, reducing costs and enhancing consistency.
- Asset Reuse: By developing assets once for high-quality output, we can use them across comics, games, and animations. This method, similar to what was done in "Arcane," involves hand-painting over 3-D models for a unique look.
- Cost and Efficiency: This approach isn't common due to its difficulty and the need for story consistency. However, it allows for smarter production, echoing the methods of visionaries like Disney and Hanna-Barbera, ensuring we can sustain and grow our IP like Pokémon.
Current Status:
- Pre-production: We're well into preproduction, with story development, storyboards, color scripts, and asset creation nearly complete. This groundwork usually takes years but we're ahead. This is because what I listed above are the mangas. Each manga counts as two episodes. And because each of those are fully developed, we have all the information we need to develop an episode.
- Production Timeline: We're set to move into full production in 2025. Post our animation lock-up system with the community we am to go into full production after that in January.
- Quality and Speed: An example of our efficiency is the cinematic for December 18th, where we reused game assets for backgrounds, finishing 43 scenes in just a month, which is exceptionally fast.
Why This Matters:
- For Investors and Community: This strategy not only reduces costs but also extends the life and reach of Kaidro, ensuring long-term success.
We're significantly further in our animation development than most Web3 projects, maintaining high quality while pushing boundaries. Our hyper focus is on the production pipeline to allow for the anime to come to life.

@Robert_O_Simons These new hard backs look amazing! Can't wait to get my hands on one. New website is sleek n easy to navigate. Preorder for the new edition was a breeze. Proud of you all continuing to push the overall long term growth and longevity of the IP as a whole. The future looks bright!
Isn’t the whole argument from Web3 folks that we need to bring in outside consumers and introduce them to the ecosystem?
That only works if the first thing people see is the world, story, characters, and game — not a wall of Web3 terminology.
Kaidro it’s not moving away from the ecosystem.
I can’t promise or say about any massive transformations that are coming in the Pacific area that you’re mentioning only that there will be changes that are coming to the web 3 same things once our announcements go out with our partners on the book publishing site of things as that will work a new partnership transformation for the overall project.
Totally fair question.
The website update isn’t us moving away from Web3 or Ronin. The main reason for the cleaner structure is that a much more traditional audience will be coming through Kaidro soon — manga readers, game players, partners, and people discovering the world for the first time.
For them, the first touchpoint needs to be the story, universe, manga, and game. That has always been the foundation of Kaidro.
The Web3 side was never planned to be baked directly into the game itself. From the beginning, it was meant to live as a connected layer around the ecosystem through the site, holder systems, rewards, Nexus, and future experiences.
So moving Web3 into Nexus is not about hiding it. It’s about giving traditional fans a cleaner front door while giving holders a dedicated place for the Web3 side of Kaidro.
That said, I understand the frustration that the holder side has felt like the same loop for a while. That’s fair. A lot of the last year has gone into building the larger foundation — publishing, the game, the site, and the broader IP structure — because that’s what gives the entire ecosystem more long-term value.
We’re not abandoning the NFT/Ronin side. We’re building Kaidro so it can grow beyond Web3 while still keeping the original community connected to that growth.
WEBSITE UPDATE INCOMING!🐉
We're launching a refreshed Kaidro website with a cleaner navigation experience and a stronger focus on the manga, game, and growing universe.

👉 This update makes it easier for new users to explore Kaidro while giving existing community members a more streamlined experience.
The goal is to keep growing Kaidro into a bigger ecosystem that reaches beyond one drop or one moment.
The books help bring new people into the world through a more traditional audience, while the game is still part of what we’re building. More reach for Kaidro is good for the overall ecosystem long term.
We’re expanding the reach of Kaidro so more people can discover the world for the first time.
The book side is not a pivot. It’s always been part of Kaidro as a transmedia IP, and these books have been in development for a long time. Now they’re getting a new life through a traditional publisher, which helps introduce Kaidro to readers and entertainment audiences outside of Web3.
Markets will move how they move, especially with everything tied to Ronin and the overall space right now. Our focus is still the same: keep growing the IP, bring more people into the ecosystem, and continue preparing the game for launch.
Kaidro has always been built as a transmedia IP — game, manga, animation, and world all connected.
The manga side isn’t some new pivot. It’s been part of the plan from the beginning, and now it’s getting a bigger push through our publishing partners so we can bring new people into the world.
The game is still part of what we’re building. Expanding the story side doesn’t mean the game is dead.
Additionally, the last 40 pages have large sections that are dedicated to the game in the book that have QR codes that will lead to all the different places. The game will be playable on.
This is important because it allows for us to keep expanding out wider audience outside of ours. Some more people can learn about the world and the game more updates on that soon.
GM and Happy New Year, Kaidro fam.
As we wrap up January, a few announcements originally planned for this month are shifting into February due to partner agreement timelines. This isn’t a slowdown, it’s alignment.
There’s a lot we’re excited to share, and we truly appreciate the patience and support from this community. These updates are meaningful, and they’re worth doing right.
To keep everyone more closely informed, we’ll also be launching a Kaidro podcast series on YouTube in Q1, where we’ll talk through what’s coming and why. It’ll be more regular than our lives that we have had (we will still be doing game play ones). We have some awesome upcoming guests and will be talking about creative solutions and storytelling.
More details soon. Thanks for sticking with us — we’re building.
