I began my working visit to the United Kingdom with a meeting with the Speaker of the House of Commons of the UK Parliament, Sir @LindsayHoyle_MP.

I started the meeting by informing him about russia’s massive overnight attack against Ukraine. I showed the consequences of the russian strike. This is the barbarity Ukrainians endure every day.

Sir Lindsay Hoyle condemned russia’s actions and stressed that this is a horror no nation should have to go through. Ukraine needs peace — but a just peace. Europe is united and stands in solidarity with Ukraine, but it must do more.

Such attacks require swift and strong decisions: strengthening Ukraine’s air defence, providing interceptors and replenishing stocks of anti-ballistic missiles, expanding long-range capabilities, and increasing sanctions pressure on russia.

The United Kingdom remains one of Ukraine’s most consistent allies. I am grateful to the UK Parliament, the Government, Sir Lindsay, and all the British people for their political solidarity and practical assistance.

During the meeting, we discussed further military, financial, and humanitarian support; training for Ukrainian servicemen and women; joint defence-industrial projects; Ukraine’s energy resilience; and our economic and financial stability.

We also focused on the practical implementation of the One Hundred Year Partnership Agreement between Ukraine and the United Kingdom. The parliaments of our two countries are focused on the implementation of this strategic document, in particular its provisions on defence capability, security, support for Ukraine’s future NATO membership, justice and accountability, and countering foreign information manipulation and interference.

We also discussed sanctions pressure on russia. I thanked the United Kingdom for its principled position and for the first detention of a vessel from russia’s “shadow fleet”. It is important to continue limiting the aggressor’s ability to finance the war.

Among the key topics were the return of illegally deported Ukrainian children and preparations for this year’s 5th Parliamentary Summit of the International Crimea Platform, which will be hosted and co-organised by the United Kingdom.

A strong Ukrainian-British partnership is a contribution to the security not only of Ukraine, but of all Europe.

❗️39 units of industrial boiler equipment with a total capacity of nearly 53 MW have arrived in 🇺🇦Ukraine from 🇮🇹Italy.

These are modular and hot water boilers complete with burners, accessories, filters, and auxiliary systems, worth €835,500. In the coming days, additional batches are expected to arrive, bringing the total to 78 units of equipment.

The UK has already made a significant contribution to strengthening our ability to repel russian terror. Starting in February, we are reaching production of 1,000 Octopus interceptor drones per month. We also discussed in detail:
🔹 opportunities for joint strategic industrial projects in air defense and long-range weapons;
🔹 prospects for localizing the production of Swedish Gripen aircraft, which incorporate technologies from British companies;
🔹 strengthening the protection of Ukraine’s maritime domain;
🔹 preparations for the February UDCG meeting.

🇺🇦🇬🇧 Together with UK Secretary of State for Defence @JohnHealey_MP, we signed today in Kyiv a roadmap for the development of the one hundred year partnership.
The document formalizes defense cooperation for 2026 across a number of key security areas. This is an important step toward implementing large-scale projects made possible by the One Hundred Year Partnership Agreement between Ukraine and the United Kingdom.
I thanked John Healey for this visit. Together with representatives of the intelligence community and the General Staff, we briefed him on the consequences of russia’s massive combined strike overnight. Strengthening air defense and ensuring a sufficient supply of ammunition for these systems remain key priorities.
