Government is judged by how it treats two things—your dollar and your vote.
For the past six years, the people of Ohio have trusted me with their tax dollars. Today, I am asking them to put their trust in me to protect their vote.
That’s why I’m running for Secretary of State.
I support photo ID for all forms of voting, and it’s disappointing that the Governor has vetoed HB 472. Photo ID is a common sense, commonplace requirement in everyday life and the most trustworthy means of ensuring that a person is who they say they are. The legislation would have served as a significant deterrent to mail-in voter fraud and made Ohio elections more secure, which is the point.
The bill was not a panacea, but it was a reasonable attempt to apply the security of photo identification equally to all methods of voting. The hysteria on the left over photo ID is driven by extremists who lie about photo ID and are comfortable with illegal aliens voting in our elections.
My priority as Secretary of State is to run the most secure elections in Ohio history, and to that end, as Secretary, I will work with the legislature and Governor Ramaswamy to ensure that all forms of voting are secure, that fraud is prevented, and that cheaters are caught and prosecuted.
Ohio will use every lawful tool to confirm that only citizens vote — and the administration is right to fight for it. I’ll add Ohio’s own safeguards so our elections stay secure — and Ohioans’ information stays protected — no matter how the courts rule. That’s the standard.
A strong democracy starts with knowing every vote cast is from a verified, eligible Ohioan.
Photo ID is a simple, proven safeguard used across the country and in everyday life.
Let’s secure our elections for good by putting photo ID in the Ohio Constitution.
Democrats fight tooth and nail against photo ID requirements because they work.
Ohio’s current law is already stopping fraud. But laws can change.
That’s why I’m fighting to put photo ID into our constitution.
So no politician can water down the security of our elections.
On this Flag Day, Old Glory symbolizes far more than stars and stripes.
It stands for the bravery and sacrifices of those who have risked their lives to protect our freedoms and the ideals of liberty and justice for all.
Let us honor them with gratitude. Happy Flag Day to all!
Congratulations to @ChairmanAlex on his unanimous re-election.
I look forward to another successful election cycle under his leadership.
On to November!
TODAY: Chairman Alex M. Triantafilou unanimously re-elected as Chairman of the Ohio Republican Party. He had this to say:
“I am humbled by the trust of the State Central Committee and ready to get right back to work. The 2026 midterms will decide who fights for Ohio in Columbus and in Washington. Our job is clear. We are going to elect Vivek Ramaswamy as Governor, send Jon Husted to the United States Senate, and stand with Republicans up and down the ballot in every one of Ohio's 88 counties.”
Secure elections aren’t complicated.
Show up, show your photo ID, cast your ballot. That’s it.
Allison Russo disagrees. She’s voted against photo ID requirements every chance she’s had.
Ohio voters deserve secure elections.
Let’s enshrine photo ID to vote in our constitution.
Allison Russo just admitted the truth: Ohio’s photo ID requirement is working as intended.
She voted NO to put photo ID to vote into law in 2023.
Today, she just voted to prevent Ohioans from voting to enshrine it into the constitution.
Enjoyed sitting down with 10TV’s @dougpetcash for a thoughtful interview.
The message of this campaign is clear: keep Ohio’s elections secure and reliable, and continue building on the strong progress we’ve already made.
Protecting the sanctity of every vote remains my top priority.
Just attended and spoke at the SOS Summer Conference.
My message to Ohio’s bipartisan election officials:
While Ohio gets elections right, we must continue to work to secure our elections and protect the integrity of every legitimate vote.
The LA mayor’s race is a shining example of exactly how NOT to run an election.
- No winner on election night
- Massive numbers of late arriving mail-in ballots
- No ID requirement
This is exactly the type of thing Allison Russo would try to bring to Ohio.
Under @JDVance’s leadership, state leaders came together with federal partners this morning to discuss how to prosecute, prevent, and deter fraud.
Today’s press conference highlighted a federal task force & other efforts aimed at combating fraud in Ohio and across the nation.
Proud to announce the launch of our new digital wallet for payments to state agencies.
Ohioans can now pay with credit cards, ACH, or crypto, while cash and checks still remain options.
This makes us the first state to fully embrace digital assets -- Ohio leads the way!

You need to show a photo ID to buy a beer, board a plane, or rent a car.
But somehow Democrats like Allison Russo think it’s too much to ask when protecting our most sacred right: our right to vote.
It’s time to enshrine photo ID in the Ohio Constitution.
Ranked Choice Voting is bad for Ohio. Glad to see Cleveland Heights made the smart call and opted against RCV for local elections.
The legislature was right to disincentivize localities from adopting this convoluted, politically motivated voting system.https://t.co/MfGQKdmGbQ
