If you’ve not seen it, the Gene Hackman film and performance I would urge everyone to put on asap is Arthur Penn’s PI noir Night Moves (1975). Rightly rated by some as one of the key movies of the 70s, but not as well-known as The French Connection & The Conversation. So, so good

@PoorOldRoloTony Payback directors cut cuts out massive parts of the movie changes the tone and makes it a completely different kind of flick. It was interesting as it has some set pieces and an ending that weren't in the theatrical but imo the original version of the film is much better.
