@thesidetrack I didn’t catch who it was but I think both the governor and the assistant secretary tried to jump in, but then it was just: “We got what we wanted. Let him cook!”
Now: President Trump is signing an executive order (surrounded by Gov. Cox, Speaker Schultz and the congressional delegation) reducing the size of the Grand Staircase and Bears Ears monuments.

Sen. Lee said the monuments are supposed to be the smallest practical size. Pres. Trump is fixing that.
Rep. Maloy says the monuments were created over the opposition of the governor and congressional delegation.
Trump says they took the land away from the people.
Gov. Cox says this is "right-sizing" these monuments.
Trump says you can't do anything on those monuments. You can't go fishing, you can't go hunting, you can't even walk on it.
(That's not true.)
My goodness. I’d completely forgotten about this until i was trying to figure out how long I’d been doing this #VoteGehrke schtick.
Guess it’s been quite a while. And, at one point at least, I had a fan.
Bad night for the #VoteGehrke! team.
Learned just before polls closed that someone didn’t file the candidacy papers. Unclear who, but Team Gehrke thinks it was me.
I don’t point fingers. I read this: Campaigns end. Friendships don’t.
Although a few of both ended tonight.
Wild night:
Senate President Stuart Adams is out, as is Dan McCay:
