NHL broadcasters turned this voting process into a mockery and made Cooper a charity case.
Remarkable that 32 voters looked at what Lindy did in Buffalo and said, "Meh." Raises a lot of questions about whether voters are taking this seriously.
It gets worse. There were 99 ballots for coach of year. Ruff was only on 67 of them.
That means 32 voters left him off entirely. He lost by three points. Incomprehensible.
(Cooper was on 58 but had more firsts. Muse was on 69) #Sabres
MacFarlane: I wasn't called Scott in the office. I was called Scotty Mac, Macfarlane or, hey, you come over here because Scott Pelley was Scott. That's the reverence with which he was held at CBS
It's wild reading some stories about Cooper winning the Jack Adams like this was predetermined months ago. He never won it, so this was *the* year to give him the award. That's the way they read.
The fix was in.
Skip Bayless fell for a report that Stephanie White was on her way out with the Indiana Fever after a viral spat with Caitlin Clark.

Sabres:
2024-25: 36 wins, 79 points
2025-26: 50 wins, 109 points (division title, ended 14-season playoff drought)
Lightning:
2024-25: 47 wins, 102 points
2025-26: 50 wins, 106 points
I don't get it. I'm not a "they-should-lose-their-vote" guy, but the NHL Broadcasters Association should lose its privileges. Ridiculous.
I didn't realize taking your team from 102 points to 106 points made you a Jack Adams Trophy winner, but here we are.
What a shitshow by the NHL Broadcasters Association.
@PinstripesNY I don't know why you keep bringing that up when it has been reported by multiple outlets that Pelley met with the CBS brass today. It was after that meeting they decided it wasn't going to work and terminated him. Has nothing to do with his (reported) refusal to meet last week.
@PinstripesNY That's not why he was fired. And I don't think anyone would be fired for declining a meeting. A write-up? A warning? Maybe. But there are other ways of communicating. Again, not why he was fired.
🚨 BREAKING: Aspiration co-founder Joe Sanberg has just been sentenced to 14 years in federal prison, following a DOJ investigation that started with two whistleblowers from inside the carbon-credits company/Clippers team sponsor in 2023.
As President, I would read 10 letters a day sent to me by ordinary Americans. At the Obama Presidential Center, we’ll have some of the letters I read — and responded to — every night. I still get emotional reading them, and it’s one of my favorite exhibits.

Good for Pelley.
If Weiss needs a reminder of why she should keep her hands off “60 Minutes,” watch Pelley’s story about the FDNY on 9/11. An all-timer.
It’s a *Toy* Story 🤠
You knew it! My new original song “I Knew It, I Knew You” for Disney and @Pixar’s @toystory 5 will be yours on June 5th. I’ve always dreamed of getting to write for these characters who I’ve adored since I was a 5 year old kid watching the first Toy Story movie. I fell instantly in love with Toy Story 5 when I was lucky enough to see it in its early stages, and I wrote this song as soon as I got home from the screening. Sometimes you just know, right?
You can pre-order now exclusively at https://t.co/NoneI6kxdH and catch Toy Story 5 in theaters June 19th ☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️
Love that ESPN called the Rams-Browns trade a "homecoming" for Jared Verse because he's from ... Dayton.
Next time a NYC native gets traded to the Bills, I'm calling it a homecoming.
Wishing @john_kucko the best. Growing up in Orleans County, I was able to watch Buffalo and Rochester news stations. John is one of the sportscasters I remember most.
I've probably enjoyed his second career more, though. His images showcasing the beauty of our great state bring much-needed positivity to my social media feeds.
I'll keep thinking of him as he confronts his health challenge and hope we have many more years of his great contributions to come.
