The Pope was not wrong in his statement. As I said before, this is a difficult and very sensitive debate. You cannot be against abortion and support the death penalty. I think the central issue here is human life and dignity.
As you all know, the Catholic Church deeply respects human dignity. However, many people have argued that the Catholic Church condemned people to death in the past. No one is denying that history. Nevertheless, the Church has critically examined its past, acknowledged its mistakes, and corrected its position. Therefore, we should stand with the Pope.
Do you support the continuation of the death penalty and abortion?
The death penalty is inadmissible because it is an attack on the inviolability and dignity of the person. The common good can be safeguarded and the requirements of justice can be met without recourse to capital punishment: effective systems of detention have been developed that protect citizens while at the same time do not completely deprive those who are guilty of the possibility of redemption. #NoDeathPenalty
I’m sorry but watching the death of another person doesn’t “heal” you in any way. It proves you’re just as depraved as the person being executed. Executions are nothing more than misplaced anger. It’s a lack of trust in God.
So I’ve switched all of my workflows Dot was handling and started building out GrokBot @bot agents and delegation. GrokBot seems far more capable and so far seems to drive toward achieving goals with less oversight and babysitting.
@Ewaakaa@devagrawal09 If you're moving off Render but don't want to manage raw AWS, Candor Deploy might be a middle ground: same git-push flow, DBs included, from $6/mo. Disclosure: I'm the founder, happy to help with the move.
@HandyPro_Global Congrats on getting close to beta! If you're still picking where to deploy, Candor Deploy does git push to live HTTPS with no config, and you can deploy from Claude Code or Codex. I run it, so happy to help get you live.
@siamakfr@TomasMann1878@Cloudflare If Cloudflare's model doesn't fit your app, Candor Deploy is another option (I built it). Flat plans from $6/mo, and switching is just connecting the GitHub repo. Happy to sanity-check costs for your setup.
@solopribuilds That sounds fun, it deserves a live link! Candor Deploy detects Streamlit automatically, so you connect the repo and get an HTTPS URL. Disclosure: I run it, and the $100 credit should cover it for a long while.
@andr3barroso@Cloudflare If you'd rather not manage a VPS, Candor Deploy might fit (I'm the founder). Git push gets you a live HTTPS URL, databases are included, and it's $6/mo to start. DM me if you want a hand.
@msyed_@amasad@ReplitSupport Since the code's already on GitHub, you could try Candor Deploy: connect the repo, it detects the stack with no Dockerfile or YAML, and you get a live URL plus a managed DB. Disclosure: I run it. Happy to help with the move.
@adrianpike Biased answer since I built it: Candor Deploy has an MCP server, so Claude Code or Codex can deploy straight from the session to a live HTTPS URL, DB included, from $6/mo. Curious what you'd want from a vibe cloud.
@david_nsude If you want something simpler and cheaper for a backend, take a look at Candor Deploy (I built it). Connect the repo, it auto-detects the stack, and managed Postgres and Redis are included from $6/mo.
