This disaster is the direct result of Housing Minister Clare O’Neil’s breathtaking incompetence.

Her reckless, taxpayer-funded 5% deposit scheme tricked unsuspecting buyers into jumping in at the very top of the market — right before Labor savagely smashed them with punitive changes to Capital Gains Tax and Negative Gearing.

The same people O’Neil arrogantly boasted she was “helping” have now been financially ruined, watching tens of thousands of dollars of their life savings evaporate.

Clare O’Neil owes these victims a full public apology.

She should admit she is totally out of her depth and doesn’t have the faintest clue what she’s doing - and Resign.

Tonight Mrs Higgy made me 2 lots of scrambled eggs on toast in an attempt to disprove the Sainsburys claim that "brown eggs cause climate change".

The first plate she served up was made with white shelled eggs.

I consumed them in a room where the temperature was 20.2°. When I'd finished, the room was still at 20.2°.

The second plate, made with brown eggs, was more interesting. Served again in a room at 20.2°.

But..... by the time I'd barely eaten half of it the room temperature had already risen to 26.7°, there was a hurricane blowing in under the door, the carpet had turned to sand, the road outside the house began to flood and Chris Packham was banging on the door and calling me an "evil climate change denier".

I reassured Chris that Mrs Higgys experiment had proven beyond all doubt that brown eggs cause catastrophic changes to the global climate and he returned home relatively happy that the science had been on his and Sainsburys side on this particular occasion.

Jim Chalmers just got caught red-handed misleading Parliament like a rookie.

In Question Time, he launched a “brutal attack” on the Morrison government’s economic record — only for it to spectacularly backfire.

Chalmers smugly told the House the massive 2.3% productivity plunge (biggest in 40 years) happened in March 2022… under the Coalition.

Wrong. Completely wrong.

It was June 2022, after Labor took office.

Shadow Treasurer Tim Wilson torched him live: Chalmers had the quarters mixed up and fed Parliament false information to score cheap political points.
March 2022? Productivity actually rose 0.6%. The collapse came on Chalmers’ watch.

So when Labor lectures everyone about “fixing” the economy while their own Treasurer can’t even get basic dates right…

This isn’t just sloppy. It’s embarrassing.

Australia deserves better than this amateur hour.
