@michaeldthomas Doctor wrote a note saying it was an emergency. Also got docs from both hospital showing it was an emergency. I lost the first appeal in what looked like a response that didn’t even read my docs. Win second appeal.

@michaeldthomas This happened to me. I had a shattered arm and I was in a hospital that couldn’t do reconstruction. I was heavily sedated and it was the middle of the night. Transferred to a hospital that could and got a $2k bill in the mail. It was “non-emergency” I was told. 1/2
