Muhbeen Hussain has been awarded an MBE for “cohesion.” This is the same man who led the Muslim community in Rotherham to completely boycott the police for investigating Pakistani Muslim men for the rape, torture, and trafficking of children—abuse that had been ignored for decades. His actions also put the entire community at risk.

He repeatedly labelled both Andrew Norfolk and me as racist and Islamophobic every time we published an exposé in Rotherham, including when we named rapist Arshid Hussain; the then Labour councillor and deputy leader of Rotherham Council, Jahangir Akhtar; and police officer PC Hassan Ali—allegations which have since been proven true in a court of law.
