First. Avg price of a house on LA would get you a huge ranch in VA. Comparing apples and oranges. This is nonsense. Boomers aren’t greedy. Good luck going to the city of you name it and saying I’d like to buy this Rite Aid site and build 200 units. Kiss 100s of 1000s of dollars in studies goodbye only for them to say no 5 years later…. All the while the landlord says um I’ll just wait for another tenant. This is nonsense. Can’t force people to sell or do anything. How it should be.

What this is someone in the real estate industry that makes a living off of people moving and making upgrades/changes complaining because people are making wise decisions financially not to move. I’m mid 30’s with a 3% mortgage. Why would I want to pay 2x for half the house & move? I’ll stay. Not just granny and gramps.
