Join us at Teatro Villamarta for a glimpse of the celebration of zarzuela, the link between the Spanish city of Jerez de la Frontera and the Mexican state of Jalisco, where Federico Moreno Torroba wrote some of his best known works. @PlacidoDomingo 's parents took zarzuela to Mexico in the 1950s and the Spanish tenor himself has made the genre beloved all over the world in his 60-year career. "Luisa Fernanda", Sorozábal's "No puede ser", Guerrero's "Los Gavilanes" and the joy of Mexican music which Domingo, who grew up in Mexico, has always performed to international delight dressed as a charro. Congratulations for an elated evening of zarzuela and friendship.
