Used the new eGates after landing at Pearson recently. Brilliant! Really sped up passage through customs and immigration. Now if they could just fix the other problems … I hear things are improving but still a way to go. #TorontoPearson#travel
@JimByersTravel@DavidHSwanson@WindstarCruises@TravelAlaska I’ve done 3 Alaska cruises with 3 different cruise lines and different experiences every time. Saw bears, whales, otters, eagles, glaciers “calving,” helicoptered to and walked on on a glacier, flew into a remote lodge in a float plane, and more, very memorable. You’d love it.
After yesterday’s minor but irritating hassles (14-hour blackout, worrying about food in the fridge, needing to upload travel docs, phone dying, etc.), I was prepared for a bad time at Pearson today. Miraculously I cleared security in 3 mins! Bermuda sunshine here I come!
@PatriciaGailLee Happy holidays to you and yours Pat. We had a family gathering of 10, but unfortunately it’s almost impossible to get rapid tests unless you’re willing to line up for hours and maybe come away empty handed. However, everyone was double or triple vaxxed. Hopefully 2022 is better!
I laugh with derision each time I hear a disgraced politician say they plan to self isolate for 14 days after returning from a vacation abroad. So, we’re supposed to applaud them for following a mandatory government regulation? #wednesdaythought#Travel#COVID19
@SunnyCynthia@CandaceBushnell Not so bad when compared to some of the things we wore in the early 70s — too long bell bottoms with raggedy bottoms, floppy hats, sky-high platform shoes — and those were in style!
With no delivery/pick up available for almost 2 weeks how are the frail elderly and vulnerable population suppose to get groceries if they live alone and don’t have anyone to shop for them? Our government needs a plan to deliver supplies to shut-ins!
