But BSE meant it could no longer use UK plasma. .

@WASPCommander @DIG60 @alanferrier @IanMartin DCI, the US plasma collection business was purchased in 2002 by the Blair government. It did this because BSE meant it had to ban the National Blood Authority (now NHS Blood and Transplant) from using UK donated blood plasma in BPL it's plasma fractionator.

Plasma Resources UK Ltd was a business formed by joining together DCI the US plasma collection business and Bio Products Laboratory an NHS plasma fractionation business wholly owned by NHS Blood and Transplant until 2011. I was the FD.

@Ant85370504 @AnnCope16 @wesstreeting Not surprising they moved their money as Labour introduced a top rate of income tax of 83% in the seventies and then slapped another 15% super tax on top of that on unearned income i.e. from interest on investments, royalties etc. Which meant being taxed 98.% on their music.
