“…she sees how happiness hides in the humdrum, how it abides in the everyday toing and froing as though happiness were a thing that should not be seen, as though it were a note that cannot be heard until it sounds from the past...”
This line from Paul Lynch's Prophet Song...
@BaldyMemike Haha Mike, well never noticed those! There are certainly no flower beds on the pitch. Kind of you not to mention our recent trip to North East Lincs. Lovely to hear from you Mike - and likewise, hope you are keeping well.
Steve Cotterill running things at Whaddon Road - and a Friday night BBC appointment to view with Alan Partridge. Somehow I am 25 years older than when this last happened. Feels like no time...
Of course Billy Nomates - Tor, Liam, Mandy- excellent at the opening night of the Metalhorse tour at The Bullingdon, Oxford. Amazing musicians, bucketloads of energy, great look, appreciative crowd. Go seem them tour this great album in the weeks to come.
What a moment - seemingly Yabbo's final show. Creative, warm and funny. Have been listening one way or another for 30 years. Best of luck Steve.
It may be rubbish. But at least it's local rubbish.
