Game loop
You start by going through a tutorial explaining the controls and development paths.
There are several maps, and the first game mode is deathmatch.
Across the map are different weapons and health packs, which you utilize to destroy the other cars.
You can also turn yourself into a weapon charging your car at other players.
You win gold coins, these are used to upgrade aspects of your car.
You also get to open crates which contain car “pieces” when you collect enough pieces you can unlock a new car, which usually comes with increased stats.
If you can’t wait to unlock a car, there is also the ability to rent a car.
The game also offers plenty of quests to keep you coming back to continue your progress.
Game feel
The controls handle well.
The maps don’t feel like they add much difference to the overall play.
In general, it is very fun chaotic rather than precision skill.
The majority of my games were against bots, which really reduced the challenge. [This could be due to my level].
The graphics and visuals are very clean.
I like the upgrade path and the quests, as they give you something to aim for.
Being able to rent cars also helps get a jump start into the better vehicles.
Rating
Whilst it hasn’t replaced my main mobile game, PokemonUnite, I am still dipping into it often.
The game is in a nice 4 mins(ish) chunks, making it a good time killer.
