We just concluded a great staff meeting and time of thanksgiving and prayer. I just have a few random thoughts going through my mind as I prepare for church tonight.
My mind is still reeling. I don’t think we can fully comprehend the magnitude of the miracle that we witnessed last night. There is no human explanation for it. Plain and simple. President Trump is one of the most unusual and amazing characters in history. He was not even supposed to be alive, much less re-elected to the Oval Office. And we got a front row seat.
I have personally devoured every bit of information possible on presidential elections since 1984 when I was just 11 years old. And I’ve got the scrapbook to prove it. What we saw last night is simply inexplicable. All I can conclude is that we prayed, and we voted, and God did what we could not do.
We will have to look long and hard to find a greater example of sheer will, determination, fearlessness and inspiring leadership. Donald J. Trump - the man - will be diligently studied for the rest of our lives as well as for generations to come.
Down deep in my heart, I was confident that God did not spare his life that day in Butler, Pennsylvania just for him to sit in a golf cart for the rest of his life. He is still here for a reason. If you think his first term was great, put your seatbelt on. This time around will be much different. He needs our prayer more now than we could begin to imagine.
What a time to be alive. What a time for the church to shine. I can’t wait to preach tonight. And no. I’m not preaching about Trump. 😎
What a smug piece of Work! The arrogance........
