I'm the only nurse in my family.
I'm the only one who worked in a hospital during covid.
I'm the only one in my family who saw with my own eyes how the system was being worked, how states wanted positive numbers, and how people were being added to the death toll.
But I had a couple family members who argued with me about it all. They believed everything they saw on CNN.
I told them that every single person coming through the ER gets tested with a PCR test. If they're positive but they end up dying, even if it was a car accident or gunshot or complications after a surgery, etc, the public health department adds them to the death toll.
They didn't believe me. They argued with everything I tried to tell them.
Then in mid-2021, my county's public health department put out a statement to the public explaining why someone would be added to the death toll.
They said there were 3 reasons why a death would be added.
1 of those reasons? If the person had a positive PCR test.
That's it.
It doesn't matter what they died from. If they had a positive PCR test, they'd be added to the death toll.
I sent my family a copy of the actual public health statement.
They never responded to me.
@usernamewifi@PuckKnower98 @Swiper309 @MetamateDaz Yeah, I'm not sure I'd say they're hoarding it. Most of it isn't cash, it's the value of the share of their companies they own. But I would agree there's room for them to spread some of it around (some do, some don't). I just don't trust the government to be the ones who do it
@usernamewifi@PuckKnower98 @Swiper309 @MetamateDaz If you don't like handouts, get the government to stop taking your money and giving it to people who are not working.
@usernamewifi@PuckKnower98 @Swiper309 @MetamateDaz Why are there still homeless people when governments have already spent trillions of dollars on homelessness?
@usernamewifi@PuckKnower98 @Swiper309 @MetamateDaz Taxes are a percentage of income, that means it is proportional. Higher incomes pay a higher tax rate, meaning they pay a higher portion of their income.
