@RadioPal1580 YouTube podcasts are very popular right now, I’d subscribe and watch. But I really miss my blender drive home from work. Would love to have you back on the radio.
@GriffithJen And that is just one issue. For example - ID may be popular, but only if there was a free ID available. AZ Republicans wanted to require me to copy my Driver's License and return with my mail ballot - that's a hard no. Talk about nefarious possibilities.
@GriffithJen For example, not being able to take your elderly neighbor's ballot so she doesn't have to to drive to turn her ballot in. But one issue is not a solution for nuanced issues - keep them local. If it's an issue pass a local law. And a quick Google search says AZ is illegal.
@GriffithJen Arizona permits a family member, household member, or caregiver to return a voter's absentee ballot. It establishes the collection of early ballots by anyone outside those groups as a class 6 felony. The law states the following:
@GriffithJen 4 states allowed only the voter to return the voter's ballot, with certain exceptions.
2 states required voters to return their ballots by mail.
10 states and D.C. did not specify who may return ballots.
@GriffithJen Per Ballotpedia: HIGHLIGHTS
18 states allowed anyone chosen by the voter to return a ballot on the voter's behalf (certain categories of returners excluded in some states).
16 states allowed anyone with certain relationships to the voter to return the voter's ballot.
@GriffithJen Election confidence is eroded as certain individuals have promoted such without proof. I want real solutions and believe elections are better handled locally without political rhetoric the driving force. Better solutions than the SAVE act are available.

Still curious as to why Israel and Ukraine situations are viewed so differently.
- Both are imperfect countries, but they broadly share the same values of individual freedom, representative democracy, and rule of law.
- And they are both longstanding American allies
- Both are sovereign territories invaded by barbarians
- Those barbarians share none of our values (eg. try being a woman under Hamas; try criticizing Putin in a newspaper in Russia)
- Those barbarians killed, tortured, raped, pillaged, plundered, kidnapped Israelis/Ukrainians
- Both Israel and Ukraine fought back against the invading barbarians (Israel with more success, wiped out almost all Hamas leadership; Ukraine has caused Russia to lose way more troops than it has lost, and it has stopped the Russian Invasion)
- The support in the U.S., and the support abroad, for the two countries is very different
- I strongly oppose the two on her murdering, kidnapping rapists side.
- I strongly support the imperfect liberal (classical sense) democracies who are our allies
What am I missing?
