is there really nowhere in @ottawacity's urban inner area to write a G1 test?
it's going to cost me at least $60 round trip to get to Walkley or $80 for Canotek Rd, or spend far more time on transit than I feel safe doing.
For safety reasons U.S. cruise lines say they won't allow passengers who've mixed-and-matched COVID-19 vaccines. But as always they're fine with serving room-temperature shrimp.
NEW: River ward Coun. Riley Brockington is hoping to drive the number of COVID-19 vaccinations even higher in Ottawa... by offering to drive constituents to get their first dose. #ottnews https://t.co/GexB0ruWCT
751.
The unmarked graves of 751 more Indigenous bodies have been uncovered.
This is Genocide.
And, it's not good enough for this Liberal govt to only offer condolences.
There remains an unbroken legacy of injustice, as long as Justin Trudeau fights Indigenous kids in court.
I didn't expect to enjoy going to Dollarama for the first time in months as much as I did, even waiting in line to get in was kind of exciting. All I wanted was cake tins and flower pots but I got a little carried away with the balcony decor (patio lanterns!!!!!!)
I know it's not going to happen but I'd be very happy if the Johnson & Johnson vaccine got approved in time for it to be shipped to the pharmacy before my 12:50 appointment
but time travel does not exist yet
oh god now it's giving me options for Brockville and Alexandria, that's not a great sign
(where tf even is Alexandria? I thought that was upstate New York??)
to the maskless cop smiling & cheering them on while blocking traffic: go fuck yourself
to the bus driver honking & egging them on: you can also go fuck yourself
Day 5 of trying to book my vaccine appointment but City Hall isn't even listed as an option anymore. not just marked as "full" but not even on the list. only Gloucester and Nepean--the suburbs not the streets--are listed for within Ottawa +Kemptville & Almonte
I'm even putting in City Hall's postal code and it's still saying the nearest clinic is Gloucester.
...which is really fucking frustrating when this is what's available according to https://t.co/vNgUd12Pvf
Good morning. As many of you have seen, there are limited appointments available to book a COVID-19 vaccine in Ottawa this morning.
Eligibility has outpaced supply, & we simply do not have enough vaccines to keep up with demand.
All available appointments are now booked. (1/2)
I don't have a car, transit pass, or change for bus fare and can't afford an Uber out to the suburbs
if the vaccination centre isn't within walking distance, I can't access it and I know I'm not the only one. more availability & more urban vaccination centres are needed.
tried booking my vaccine appt at City Hall but by the time I got in at 8:16, there was no availability (I gave up clicking through dates at July 2022). on a waitlist for Rexall bc next nearest centre is 8km away.
