@reallytangerine @BecauseCulture In the UK if a train is delayed more than 15 mins (a few train companies say 30 mins) then you receive a partial refund which increases with the length of the delay. I’ve had a full refund before for a service I travelled on that was delayed more than an hour

@Adejibo @ovaroy91 @ukhomeoffice Nobody mentioned skilled worker visas though. Those aren’t the only work visas around. Obviously if on a skilled worker visa then you’re sponsored, plenty of people are working on non-sponsored visas.

@ovaroy91 @ukhomeoffice You can qualify for some jobseekers payments even if on a visa with no recourse to public funds, not everything is classed as a public fund for immigration. The payments you’d be eligible for would be based on contributions. Universal credit is classed as a public fund though.

VFS was originally announced as a pilot to then be rolled out in other countries if it was successful in the UK. I’m not sure whether this is what’s been rolled out elsewhere now

Just a few that come to mind are Ireland, South Africa, the Netherlands, Germany, UK, etc. You cant make someone stateless, that’s against international law. Revoking citizenship for no reason like Trump wants though, yeesh
