For rural communities a mixed approach using Starlink for the internet transit and a local mesh network to extend coverage will be crucial.

@elonmusk, at @AlterMundiNet we develop open hardware and software for community networks, which has proven very effective to drastically improve Internet coverage in remote areas.

Low-income families in rural Argentina won't be able to afford a Starlink connection on their own, but collaboration is natural in these adverse scenarios. Creating community run networks around a few Starlink connections per village and extending the range with LibreRouter would be an excellent solution.

has been internationally recognized by the ITU for its support for community run connectivity initiatives (community networks). The support programs designed in collaboration with the civil society are an inspiration to other countries in the region and beyond.

With the opportunities that arise from the bold economic model change brought about by @JMilei it is now crucially important that we find a way to synergize private enterprise with social cooperation.

I hope your team at @SpaceX @Starlink can get in touch with @ENACOMArgentina Special Projects division and with the @AlterMundiNet team in order to find ways to bring the Internet to even more humans on Earth in this strange time which I like to call the last pivot in human history. The rest might be human/AI/beyond.
