The legendary video for 'Sabotage' was directed by Spike Jonze and shot in Los Angeles on a very low budget in guerrilla style. The Beastie Boys dressed up as tough cops of the '70s, parodying shows like Starsky & Hutch and Baretta. The car chase was almost entirely improvised, with the band doing their own stunt driving.
Released in 1994 on the album Ill Communication, the song and video became one of the biggest icons of the 90s: It was nominated for 5 VMAs and is still considered one of the best and most influential in MTV history.
