I was so bummed I didn't quite realize how big the June 9th update would be.
I don't think we've ever received so much content from a free update. Too bad it'll be the last one 😔
I only played D2 when it went F2P, but Destiny had always been a game I wanted to try since 2015. I wonder how my high school friend who introduced me to this universe is doing now.
What is your favorite Runner Shell? 👇
🟢 Destroyer
🟢 Vandal
🟢 Assassin
🟢 Recon
🟢 Thief
🟢 Triage
⚪️ Rook
Which one will you be running at launch (and why)? 🤔
also maybe a hot take i guess but different sections of UI should have different fonts so that it is immediately easy to differentiate between headers, bodies, footnotes, titles, etc etc
thats like the basics of typography is it not? idk
Not sure if any changes are enough aside from making it not a daily chore with unpredictable activity/reward changes.
I shouldn’t have to open my PC and boot up a big game just to know if there’s a gun I want that’s featured in an activity I don’t dislike.
Our next Major Update, Destiny 2: Shadow and Order, is undergoing large revisions and will be delayed.
This update is being changed and expanded to include sizable quality-of-life updates and as a result, will also be renamed. This update will now launch on June 9, 2026. We will provide exact details closer to release covering previously announced Weapon Tier Upgrading, but also additions like expanding Tiered Gear to all Raid and Dungeon activities, Pantheon 2.0, Tier 5 stats for Exotic Armors, and more.
Through June, we will continue to have routine bug fixes and stability improvements, continued portal modifiers, Guardian Games (March), and the return of a more frequent Iron Banner cadence (April).
In terms of communications, we will be focusing on providing you with updates about our live game content, community activations, and general upkeep through the TWID and our Destiny social channels.
Thank you for your continued patience and support. We will have more information on our next major update and future plans for Destiny 2 closer to launch.
See You Starside.
The Martlet, this week's Trials weapon, has the perks to excel in PvE and PvP. It's also one of the best pairings for a Void-focused build. 100% worth the grind.

King Orfeo offers solid rolls for PvE and PvP (especially PvE) and is definitely a good chase during Arms Week this week.

Now on to Titans! This is one of their strongest builds right now ⤵️
🎯 Goal: Combine its most powerful exotics into one explosively destructive build.
⚙️ Mandatory Gear: Stoicism with Spirit of Synthoceps and Spirit of Inmost Light. Khvostov 7G-0X
✅ Aspects: Consecration and Knockout (alternative: Diamond Lance)
✅ Fragments: Facet of Balance, Facet of Protection, Facet of Ruin, and Facet of Purpose
✅ Abilities: Glacier Grenade, Frenzied Blade, Thruster, Thundercrash Super
✅ Stats: Melee → Grenade → Class
🔄 Gameplay Loop
The loop of this build is simple: Grenade → melee → class ability. When going past 100 stats, you can get even more damage, and for your class ability, you get an overshield.
This is probably the strongest Hunter build right now ⤵️
🎯 Goal: Stack up Combination Blow by using Tempest Strike and unleash deadly waves of Arc while retaining damage resistance through Amplified and Gifted Conviction Resist.
⚙️ Mandatory Gear: Gifted Conviction, Arc Weapons are nice, Praxic Blade works well.
✅ Aspects: Tempest Strike and Ascension.
✅ Fragments: Spark of Resistance, Spark of Shock, Spark of Amplitude, Spark of Frequency, and Spark of Ions.
✅ Abilities: Arc Staff, Combination Blow, Pulse or Flux Grenade.
✅ Stats Priority: Melee → Class → Health/Super/Weapons
🔄 Gameplay Loop
The gameplay loop of this build operates entirely off the Tempest Strike and Gambler’s Dodge abilities. Functioning like a classic Combination Blow setup, you will rotate between using your melee and dodge, except this time, your melee is now Tempest Strike, a much more powerful attack that can take out waves of enemies with ease, stacking Combination Blow instantly.
By utilising Ascension with this, you also have even more AoE and mobility, as well as more access to the defensive benefits provided by Gifted Conviction. Jolting as often as possible is important with this build, as you are going to be up close and personal with the enemy, so having as high ‘Resist’ stacks as possible from Gifted Conviction is ideal.

I like this system since I dont have to think about it…
But if I ever take a break from the game again I’ll be punished for it since there are no Seasonal Challenges I could use to catch up to the Pass.
Barely touched Ash & Iron but that was how I caught up to 103 at least.
The new Vanguard Orders system is live for all players as part of Destiny 2: Renegades.
Vanguard Orders are automatically assigned objectives based on your current loadout. Your teammates activity will count towards most of the Common Orders.
Find them in the Seasonal Hub in the Portal.
