We are very excited to announce our fantastic new sponsor @just1body! They've been working with all levels of Roller Derby since 2014 and have a team of therapists who understand what derby demands and how to get you back on track. Book a free consultation https://t.co/vm2BZ46h3F
We are encouraging everyone, white followers in particular, to donate and take action. Well will be sharing a different campaign each week. Please consider donating to @uffcampaign, a coalition of those affected by deaths in police, prison and psychiatric custody in the UK!
Beyond that, we as a league want to send our love and solidarity to all BIPOC members of the roller derby community, now and always. #BlackLivesMatter ❤️🖤❤️🖤
Black lives matter.
We stand in full solidarity with black communities suffering repression by white supremacist state and police forces, now and always. White supremacy and white violence does not only exist in the USA - 1/
We urge you to keep showing up, and supporting and amplifying antiracist and black-led organising in your own communities that organise around police violence, prisons and detention centres, border violence, the hostile environment and other forms of racism and white supremacy.
Picked up a pair of skates during lockdown? Looking for a post-pandemic hobby? Roller derby might be for you! If you're London-based, we'd love to have you 🖤❤️🖤❤️https://t.co/CN60I0pSUW
Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and in line with the statement recently made by British Champs and UKRDA regarding upcoming Champs games we are sad to say we will be cancelling our upcoming home champs double header.
Our thoughts and solidarity are with every other derby league across the world no doubt facing the same struggles we are as to how to continue to run a sports team under such tough circumstances ❤️
If you have already bought tickets we are currently looking into the best way to refund them, alternatively they will still be valid for whenever we are able to reschedule or for any other upcoming LRR event
