@Martina@megynkelly Martina, I agree 100%. There is a men’s league; there’s a women’s league. Why does a man need to play in a women’s league, and how does that help the women’s league? Women needed equal pay, TV time, coverage, etc., but maybe BJK should have lost to Bobby Riggs?
@stoolpresidente@Mappy6984@CathyEngelbert (Pt 2) Their contrasting styles, rivalry, one on East coast, one on West, and ultimately respect and friendship saved the league. But, and it’s a big BUT… Commissioner Stern embraced the Superstars, added Salary Caps, drip policy, etc. The WNBA is NOT embracing their Superstars.
@stoolpresidente@Mappy6984@CathyEngelbert Years ago, the NBA was full of a bunch of thugs. The ABA merger left the NBA in severe debt. Plagued by substance abuse, violence, and racial tensions, they could not get people to watch or attend games. Then came Bird and Magic. (Pt 1)
@stoolpresidente@Mappy6984@CathyEngelbert That’s a tough one. Sophie is extremely close to other player. However, “if a player extends elbows beyond their normal body frame and cause contact with an opponent’s head, the O player is deemed responsible for initiating the contact.”
@AdrianneCurry Wow! You are young. Mine was the Aristocats, I think. I do remember watching Chitty Chitty Bang Bang in the theater and being scared of the Children Catcher.
