In the 1980’s we saw a local extinction of rhinos 🦏 in Uganda. About 40 years later, the 2005 project by @rhinofunduganda and @ugwildlife has see the numbers rise to about 50 northern white rhinos at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.

There is plans to re-introduce the to the wild.

The Nile River’s Journey of 6650km to the Mediterranean Sea starts from Uganda’s town Jinja. 70% of its water is from Lake Victoria which is Africa’s largest inland water body and second in the world after L.Superior.

Today we celebrate these giants of the equatorial forests. The Eastern and Western Gorillas.
They are special apes (Largest of all) and found in a few countries. The Mountain Gorillas have moved from being critically endangered to endangered, thanks to conservation efforts.

A wildlife lover or bird watcher: This is a must see for you while in Uganda, native to the marshy areas but the best place to see it is at Mabamba Swamp on the edge of Lake Victoria.
About 5000 of them remain making it vulnerable.

A beautiful experience at Murchison Falls National Park. Wild camping and our morning was distorted by rain, 4 lions spotted, but the water levels of the Nile River increase day by day. The Falls are Washing away the shores.
