@neal_preshner@tomwhx I do hear Tories talking about how we must get ‘closer’ to the EU again, or even join their single market and customs union.
Especially that ‘Prosper’ lot, who apparently have 30,000 members.
It’s a legitimate worry.
One problem the Tories still have, as their Party Chairman demonstrates here, is that unlike Reform they’re still ‘split down the middle’ somewhat on Brexit. (Or maybe that’ll help them in the Lib Dem seats they need to target, while Reform attack Labour.)
@BenAndo There are over 5 million businesses in the UK. Less than 5% of them export to the EU.
But all of them still have to comply with almost all of the regulations the EU introduced.
Because we haven’t had a government since Brexit determined to make the most of our independence.
@ianrileyENG@MTChandler1 There was no error.
I said hardly anyone in the country voted for Burnham, and most people voted against Labour.
That’s correct.
I didn’t say his being PM wasn’t allowed; I said he shouldn’t be acting so arrogant, given the above.
I believe it will be his downfall ultimately.
CHART OF THE DAY: The price of natural gas in the US 🇺🇸 and Europe 🇪🇺. Now, imagine running a gas-intensive company (say, a fertilizer plant) in either region. Europe >$30; US <$3
As for the sleeping bags, spare socks and grab bag - where are we going???
We all have beds at home.
Why the sleeping bags???
Are we being evacuated?
The comms is so confused on this
Only 1 in 5 of the Boriswave migrants came in on skilled worker visas. There is no democratic mandate for them to be here. They will cost the British people £600 billion. That is not “progressive.” It is treating the British people with contempt.
