everyday i use my reusable glass starbucks cup for water, it’s so much better to use reusable water bottles rather than plastic ones! it helps to reduce so much plastic waste.
@StauberNatalie@franklinlorax i’ve been so bored over this long break i didn’t even realize how much energy i must be wasting from watching tv, my phone, etc!! good idea (;
As you can see my fan is not on right now, when it’s not necessary to have my fan on, I keep it off. Keeping it on, especially when I’m not home, could be more wasteful then beneficial. This is a great way to save energy! #apesenergy@franklinlorax
So many things are constantly plugged in at my house because of all our electronics. We should try and unplug things that aren’t being used. You could save about 10% on your electricity bill by unplugging unnecessary appliances. @franklinlorax#apesenergy
since the lockdown&social distancing has started, my family and i have been drawn to watch tv more often. also using other electronics around the house due to boredom. we should all set how long we’re going to watch! will save tons of energy! @franklinlorax#apesenergy
here’s some printer paper that my family and i use everyday! paper is a huge reason for why humans continue to log and therefore it takes a lot of forestry to sustain the logging business! #apesland@franklinlorax
in my family my parents had 5 kids: me, my two sisters, and my two brothers. if the u.s. had the “one child policy” like china does... i wouldn’t be able to have siblings. or since i am the youngest... i wouldn’t even be here today!! @franklinlorax#apespop
If everyone lived like me, we would need 4.7 earths to meet everyone’s needs. There are many ways I can reduce my ecological footprint, one way is to carpool with friends and family from city to city.
Americans have a big problem with overconsumption, while many other places in the world stuffer with undernutrition. If everyone in the world at like Americans we would run out of resources fast! @franklinlorax#apespop
@fhsmadison@franklinlorax such a pretty christmas tree! we are so lucky to be able to live where christmas trees are available to us to stay in the holiday spirit!
Living in Wisconsin we are part of the Temperate Seasonal Forest biome. This biome has 4 distinct seasons: summer, fall, winter and spring. Currently in the winter season, temperatures will fall below freezing and it will eventually be snowing. #apeseco@franklinlorax
this is my dog tandy. he is a k-strategist b/c dogs produce less offspring but give more care. while an r-strategist which produces much more offspring but gives less care. tandy was born with 4 brothers and sisters who were cared for by their mother! @franklinlorax#apeseco
To help save our waters I use a reusable water bottle. My water bottle is a gallon. Throughout the day I only drink out of this so it is reducing the amount of plastic that is being wasted and thrown away into our water streams.
