BIG UPDATE: The president has signed the bipartisan spending package into law that includes a $100 million increase for Alzheimer’s and dementia research at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and $41.5 million for implementation of the #BOLDAlzheimersAct at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in fiscal year 2026. 🎆
With the $100 million funding increase now finalized, the total annual federal investment in Alzheimer’s and dementia research will be approximately $3.9 billion.
The BOLD funding represents the highest annual investment since the law was enacted, strengthening the nation’s public health response to Alzheimer’s and other dementia in communities across the country.
This victory belongs to every #ENDALZ advocate who raised their voice in support of this important investment. This wouldn’t have been possible without your dedication to the cause. 💜
