@Heccles94 Surely the issue is that these people have, by conspiring with, or paying, gangsters to commit illegal acts on their behalf, committed crimes that would earn an English or Welsh man or woman, or foreign national legally resident and workibg here, several years in jail?
@Zeev81309558 No. For most of us it's who's going to fix the potholes and maintain local services without raising tax through the roof. Sadly, though, there are some "useful idiots" whose sympathy for the people of Gaza leads them to support all kinds of racist, anti-democratic bollocks.
@unojen_wood@AbolishWestmin True, but why would they do that? It's not as though the British army, acting on the orders of the British government, is likely to send an expedition into northern France and murder and rape 5,000 baffled French civilians.
@joolzg The Grren candidate to be my councillor sent me a leaflet berating the current council for prioritising road repairs over pavements, illustrated by a picture of him next to a pristine pavement that looks like it could have been newly laid pointing at a big pothole in the road.
@Heccles94@Burns99Star Apart from Jews, it seems. And anyone who tries to enrich themselves and their family by any means other than working in the professions that the haute bourgeoisie monopolise to the extent that they'd be a caste but for a few immigrants' children qualifying as doctors or lawyers.
@MatthewStadlen@MathewHulbert Ignore the racialists of the left and right. You know that some individuals are just unpleasant bullies and it has nothing to do with race, gender, religion or sexuality, though they will play on any of those things that they perceive as a weakness in their victim.
@ZackPolanski What's wrong with that? We're a fairly rich country and most people are comfortably off even if they're having to tighten their belts a bit due to current inflation rates. Don't you want to represent the majority of English people? If not, what's the point of the Green Party.
@BladeoftheS No, they're just smart enough to see that you Commies equally regard them as worthless scum and figure that at least the Tories are polite to them.
@BladeoftheS Aren't you worried that you'll end up with a system in which the greediest people will still control everything but will claim legitimacy without even having to pretend to provide people with what they want via the mechanism of the market?
@HenMazzig Missed opportunity: if all the scum and enemies of humanity want to self-identify as such, why deny the security services an easy opportunity to identify them and know who they need to keep tabs on?
@triffic_stuff_ Solidarity with what, though? Surely this is just showing sympathy for the bereaved and not an expression of support for a regime that, as she knows, tortures and executes people like her in their thousands? Or do you think that the Green Party really have lost their minds?
@markofagenius My guess is that experience of recent years tells them that's what's going to happen for sure if they vote Labour or Conservative. You and I believe that Reform will do even worse by them, but there's no record to prove us right so people may figure it's worth the risk.
@Xyveniq@ZackPolanski What the Hell is a £1.2 million pound property "empire"? Where I live, that buys you two or three modest family homes or a stake in a small block of flats. I don't have any sympathy for the Commie, racialist Green Party, but that's really a bit of a lame criticism.
@Our_Lev@Class_C_Project You're not employed in healthcare, are you? You seem a bit defensive of doctors and the NHS. Would you be more comfortable if I targeted lawyers when commenting on the hypocrisy of haute bourgeoisie lefties?
@RockChartrand I'm more inclined to think that the power gained from wealth is corrupting, but either way that ignores the simple fact that we're all individuals and will act according to our own personal inclinations, which are more often philanthropic than sociopathic.
@Our_Lev@Class_C_Project I'm not sure anyone would disagree that, in a rich country like ours, there should be a welfare safety net that ensures everyone's basic requirements are met. It seems to me, though, that it's in countries without a free market that more people struggle to meet these basic needs.
