Ye sabka vikas to nahi lag raha aur na hi sabka saath lag raha

Roughly 3,000 students study at Mohammad Ali Jauhar University. Around 40% of them are not Muslim. They are Hindus, Sikhs and Christians, sitting in the same classrooms as everyone else.
Now Bisht's UP government has ordered the demolition of 38 of the university's 40 buildings on its roughly 400 acre campus. The authorities say only two structures ever had proper plan approvals.
So fix that. Regularize the buildings. Fine the trust if it broke a rule. Grant the approvals now. What could possibly be worth demolishing an entire university?
And ask the obvious question the students are already asking. Have the houses, the government offices, the police stations in that same area all been checked for approvals too? If not, why was only this university singled out?
Have you ever once heard of a government that demolishes a university?
Think about what kind of state sends a bulldozer toward classrooms and laboratories where 3,000 young people are studying at this very moment.
Remember also that this is the only university for nearly 100 kilometres around Rampur, and most of its students come from poor families who have nowhere else to go.
And please, spare me the tears over Nalanda. The same people who mourn a university destroyed a thousand years ago are ready to applaud as one is flattened right in front of them.
If the Muslim students don't move you, then think about the hundreds of non Muslim students who lose their education too. Because that is who actually pays the price. The students, every single one of them.
And they are not alone. Sikh leaders and Hindu teachers have stood at that same gate defending this place, which tells you it was never only a Muslim cause.
And while you are at it, look at the wider record. The number of government schools in UP fell from around 1,63,000 in 2017 to about 1,37,000 by 2024, close to a sixteen percent drop.
They are quietly closing schools that serve the poor, and now they want to bulldoze a university that serves thousands. So tell me honestly, who is really standing up for education here?
Maybe it really is Hindus who are in danger. Because once a government decides that education itself is disposable, no community's children are ever truly safe.
You cannot shut down a living university with 3,000 students inside it. Because it's you who taught us that it is the barbarians who demolish universities.
Who is the barbarian now?
As soon as I took the stage in HALL H at COMIC-CON to moderate the “STAR TREK UNIVERSE” panels, I unfolded my vintage 1976 STAR TREK POSTER BOOK to reveal that classic shot of the ENTERPRISE from “THE THOLIAN WEB” that I proudly hung on my wall all the way through college!
7 rounds of pellet gun fired

From denial to agreeing that pellet gun fired. Who gave the RAF the permission to escalate? Whose orders were they following?

Zach Cregger says that his ‘RESIDENT EVIL’ film includes some unique zombies never seen in the games before.
“It still obeys the laws of the game universe but there’s stuff that’s unique & new here.”
@manojkjhadu CJI: If there is excess committed, it should be independently examined. It's not only a case of Delhi. Uniformity in protocol required. Merely because agitation there, doesn't mean lathi-charge. Discipline integral to democratic process.

Pleas alleging police brutality during #StudentsProtest mentioned before #SupremeCourt
AoR Fauzia Shakil mentions petition filed by Rajya Sabha MP Manoj Jha (@manojkjhadu)
Shakil: we have filed a writ petition with comprehensive information, including Bihar firing
Another counsel: multiple writs and applications filed. on account of students who have been beaten up
CJI: already filed?
Counsels: yes, we want them to be taken up alongwith cases listed today

Sr Adv Vikas Singh: Pan-India order required
CJI: One way out is, today's matter also we take up tomorrow
Counsel: I am for families of policemen beaten. Need permission to participate. They have been kicked, lynched literally
CJI: Right to peaceful, lawful protest absolutely guaranteed under Constitution. So long as it is peaceful agitation, merely because there is agitation, there can't be [excess]
J Bagchi - Injury to individual, be it to policemen or [students], is of equal concern. We may call upon state to concern why adequate [...] not given to police to handle such.
The pleas seek an independent investigation into the incidents, preservation of CCTV footage, body-camera recordings and other electronic evidence, besides compensation for protesters found to have suffered injuries
Earlier, CJI Kant declined listing of a letter petition on the issue (mentioned by Adv Narendra Mishra). Subsequently, the CJI clarified that the listing was declined as there was no properly filed petition before the court at the time.

Marvel Comics announces 'INDIANA JONES AND THE SWORD OF PANDEMONIUM', a five-issue limited series from writer Jason Aaron & artist Aaron Kuder launching this December.
The series is set after 'RAIDERS' and marks the return of Indiana Jones to Marvel Comics after 40 years.
A 29% drop!!! That’s it?!?! 639 Million worldwide?! Incredible.
#TheOdyssey is just spanking these anti-woke and anti-DEI grifters. The public is showing how irrelevant their racist and transphobic narratives are when a movie is undeniably good.
It’s so bad that their followers are coming up with batshit, MAGA LIKE conspiracy theories to explain their ass whupping instead of just taking the L. What a joy to behold it all.
7. & 8. THE RINGS OF POWER: Another favorite SDCC tradition — sitting down with the team behind The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. Was psyched to dig into about how the characters evolve and how the stakes soar in Season 3, but especially enjoyed hearing about how much respect and appreciation they have for each other and the work being done. Can’t wait to see them all reach new heights yet again.
9. DUNGEON CRAWLER CARL: The timing couldn’t have been better. After Collider Ladies Night Live with Critical Role, I immediately went home and started Dungeon Crawler Carl. Incredible. What a world you’ve built, Matt Dinniman. And Jeff Hays’ audio narration? Sincerely one of the best I’ve ever heard.
All interviews coming to Collider soon!
5. THE TERROR: DEVIL IN SILVER: A rare SDCC 1:1 interview, and I’m SO glad it was with Dan Stevens. Could talk about his craft and endless range as an actor for hours. Also, Devil in Silver is excellent. Please don’t miss it!
6. GHOSTS: You’re getting another post about this one so I’ll keep this short and sweet for now, the Ghosts cast is an all-timer. Feel incredibly lucky to get to cross paths with them often. Always most at ease sitting on those couches with them!
3. RICK AND MORTY: What’s a Comic Con without a Rick and Morty interview?! Always one of my favorite groups to reunite with, but especially excited about this convo because we’re digging into the Season 9 finale … and it’s quite good.
4. ETERNALLY YOURS: Get ready to fall in love with this ensemble just like you did with team Ghosts. The first episode of Eternally Yours is a DELIGHT. So pumped about all the good that’s to come for this group.
SDCC 2026 INTERVIEWS — DAY 2
1. CARRIE: Covering any Mike Flanagan project is a dream, but a Carrie adaptation with THIS ensemble? Feeling very, very confident they’ve done something special with a book I love.
2. LANTERNS: I’ll be blabbing about Lanterns quite a bit over the next few weeks/months, but for now — I just love seeing good things come Aaron Pierre’s way. What a joy watching someone so wildly talented and also deeply kind soar in this biz.
The fans got Deadpool off the ground so many years ago. Yesterday, 10 years after the first film and exactly 2 years after Deadpool & Wolverine, I felt so lucky to be on the #SDCC floor with everyone whose unapologetic devotion brings so much joy to this world.
