Now that we have commercial access to BCMA Bispecifics in Myeloma, how important is it to have an assay for sBCMA? How would one use it in clinical practice?
@End_myeloma A significant proportion of patients cannot afford anti CD38 mabs, carfil becomes the usual go to 2nd line due to affordability. It used to be hard to accrue patients.
@End_myeloma For me the trial was way ahead of its time considering the fact that, anti- CD38 exposure in first line or even at 1st relapse was miniscule in daily practice. It was difficult to find patients who were dara exposed and carfil unexposed

PERSEUS outcomes based on new definition of high risk disease
Sustained MRD negativity seem to make the outcome of high risk similar to standard risk, imp to be sustained over multiple years
India faces a major healthcare burden of Transfusion Dependent Thalassemia.
Transplant is a curative treatment available for patients who have a Matched sibling donor.
An important question that arises is does transplant make a difference in long term quality of life
Transplant had a profound, long-term improvement in the multi-dimensional quality of life for children suffering from beta -thalassemia major.

Used The PedsQL 4.0 Generic Core Scales to assess QOL. Significant Overall Improvement: The transplant (Tx) group scored significantly higher across all domains of health-related quality of life compared to the non-transplant (NTx) group (p < 0.05). This includes improvements
