URGENT: Two Rohingya girls trafficked toward Malaysia are now being held for ransom.

A voice note circulating on WhatsApp reveals they were intercepted mid-route and are now being extorted for 14,000 MYR each. If the ransom isn’t paid, they’ll be sold to another trafficker.

Culprits named in the recording are son of Hala Futunna and son of Mohammed Soyed.

A devastating 7.7-magnitude earthquake struck central Myanmar on Friday, claiming over 1,000 lives so far. The US Geological Survey (USGS) warns the death toll could exceed 10,000.
