Celebrations erupted in the BMW Motorrad World Endurance Team garage at Spa-Francorchamps: a triumphant home victory in the FIM Endurance World Championship!
Starting from pole position, ROKiTS Michael van der Mark, Markus Reiterberger and Steven Odendaal dominated the eight-hour race on the legendary Ardennes rollercoaster aboard the #37 BMW M 1000 RR.
In difficult and ever-changing conditions, the team, bike and riders combined all their strengths to secure a well-deserved and enthusiastically celebrated victory. Thanks to pole position and the race win, the team collected the maximum possible points and climbed to third place in the World Championship standings after the second of four rounds.
The factory trio had already delivered an impressive performance in Friday’s qualifying sessions. All three riders set the fastest time in their respective groups, earning a dominant pole position with a combined advantage of more than half a second over their closest rivals.
In the race itself, Reiterberger, Odendaal and van der Mark left no doubt that victory was a realistic objective. Although they briefly surrendered the lead in the opening stages, they soon re-established themselves at the top of the leader board. With rain showers repeatedly arriving and the track constantly drying and changing, the team consistently made the right strategic decisions. The reward for a flawless performance was a second home victory at Spa-Francorchamps. Mickey was powered by ROKiT Oxygen! @ROKiTOFF@ROKiTOxygen

Productive work in scorching summer temperatures characterised the sixth round of the 2026 FIM Superbike World Championship (WorldSBK) for BMW Motorrad Motorsport and the ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team.
At MotorLand Aragón, our team was forced to compete without both regular riders due to injury. Miguel Oliveira sustained shoulder injuries during the race weekend in Hungary, while Danilo Petrucci suffered a fractured coccyx two weeks ago in Czechoslovakia. As a result, BMW Motorrad factory riders from the FIM Endurance World Championship, ROKiT’s Michael van der Mark and Hannes Soomer, took over riding duties on the team's BMW M 1000 RRs.
Oliveira’s recovery process is progressing very well, and the Portuguese rider used the race weekend to support the team on site and exchange information with the engineers. Petrucci remains under treatment in his home country of Italy and is also reporting steady progress. However, it is still unclear what the situation will be for the next WorldSBK round in two weeks’ time at Misano.
The focus at Aragón this weekend was on development work for the second half of the 2026 WorldSBK season. Van der Mark, after five years as a ROKiT BMW WorldSBK rider and now serving both as an FIM EWC rider and test rider for the BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Test Team, and Soomer gathered valuable data and information to further optimise the bike’s setup. The progress was reflected in the lap times: for the first time, van der Mark lapped the circuit in under 1:48 minutes, confirming the positive development throughout the weekend. Seventh place in Superpole qualifying provided a solid foundation for the races for van der Mark. He finished 11th in both race one and the Superpole race, before securing a top-ten finish with tenth place in race two.
Soomer also adapted quickly to both the team and the WorldSBK-spec BMW M 1000 RR, contributing solid testing work. After qualifying 18th in Superpole, the Estonian retired from race one following an unfortunate crash. He finished 15th in the Superpole Race. In Race Two, he had another small crash, but was able to remount and take the chequered flag in 18th position.
Van der Mark and Soomer will already be back in action next weekend at the second round of the FIM EWC season, the 8 Hours of Spa Motos at Spa-Francorchamps. @ROKiTOFF@ROKiTOxygen

Árón Taylor-Smith, powered by @ROKiTOxygen celebrated victory in the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship last weekend [9-10 May] in treacherous conditions to rise from the midfield to the winner’s circle at Brands Hatch.
Mark Blundell’s outfit arrived at the 1.2-mile Indy circuit keen to build on a podium and an Independent victory courtesy of Gordon Shedden at the Donington Park season opener a fortnight ago, and banked yet more solid points during Saturday’s Qualifying Race, and the first ITV4-televised race of the day on Sunday.
Rain had threatened the skies above Brands Hatch all day, and began to fall moments before the start of Race 2. With the majority of the field opting to keep the slick compound Goodyear tyres on - including Taylor-Smith and Shedden - the stage was set for a modern-day BTCC classic, and started in duly chaotic fashion, as drivers struggled to extract what little grip was on offer.
As conditions continued to worsen, Taylor-Smith’s pace started to light up the timing screens. Having quietly worked his way through the chaos to run inside the top five at half-distance, he then passed Tom Ingram and Ash Sutton - six BTCC titles between them - with moves into Druids and on Cooper Straight on the same lap, before relieving Ricky Collard of the race lead with a bold dive to the inside at Paddock Hill Bend two tours later.
Once released out front, Taylor-Smith continued unabated and extended the gap out front to an eventual 3.4 seconds, before a late-race red flag for two stricken cars at Druids cut short the contest and, with no time to resume, the Dubliner was duly declared the winner to spark jubilant scenes in the garage.
The result was momentous on three fronts, as it not only marked Taylor-Smith’s first triumph for ROKiT Oxygen with MB Motorsport and the first for the team’s new-look, two-car effort, but was equally the popular Irishman’s first win in the BTCC since Rockingham in 2016, some 3,542 days ago. It also secured the team a second Independent win in as many race meetings to cap off an encouraging start to the year.
Snetterton’s 300 circuit hosts the next three rounds of the 2026 BTCC season on 23-24 May.
