@mightyjoeham I believe that narrating every roll is the number one way to A. Get into your character and B. Immerse yourself in the world. So I tell people the magic word as a DM is how. How do you attack, how do you dodge, how do you pick the lock. It makes a world of difference for PCs

Football season coming to an end, has anyone made up a sport in your ttrpg games? How do you play it? I made one that was basically basketball/football on one of those weird Aztec vertical hoops.

What's everyone's favorite monster to run and why? Mines a beholder because it really takes the randomness to a new level. The most chaotic fights I've ever ran have always been beholders.

Why are people so weary of putting tch in DnD? There's magic, why can't I make a magic speaker that plays signals that bards around the area broadcast through big tall wands? Most people in today's world couldn't tell you how radios work, basically magic.
