@SimFromBucks Um… excuse me.. but this fair, logical take isn’t very ‘Reading fc fan’ of you. Take this down immediately. The #readingfc hashtag is a place for over the top temper tantrums and nothing else.
@david_winks1987 That’s like saying no to Marriott because he didn’t play much. Meite had more appearances last season than Marriott did before we signed him btw.
His goal scoring needs improving, sure. But isn’t he stuck out wide a lot of the time? … plus.. league 1 innit.
We have been playing badly and/or negatively since he joined, and Marriott being great hid that for a lot of this season.
Richardson is just unable to play attacking football, ever. It’s so bad, and he has to go, because that’s on him.
#readingfc
@ReadingFC In fairness, he does talk a good game. Shame none of what he says seems to happen out on the pitch. Enormous job he’s got on his hands next season to win back the fans.
@ElmParkRoyals Fully agree. I’m firmly Richardson out, but it’s great to have an owner who cares, listens and vocalises his thoughts. The only bit I disagree with is the line about “identity”. I don’t think we have one at all this year.
@ElmParkRoyals All we need is a manager who plays attacking football. If we had that this season, nobody would be asking for a new manager. It’s that simple.
We’re frequently told we have the best GK, best CB, best CM, best ST in the league.. yet we sit 11th and we rarely play well. What’s going wrong? #readingfc
@MiloRoyal1871 I mean.. our new owner loves it and links it to him buying the club. So there’s a slither of a link. Sweet Caroline is played because…. England fans like it?
@Orrgarde Spot on. At our level, there isn’t a ‘perfect’ manager out there.
Marriott averaged a goal in just 22% of his games at Peterborough (21-23) - Reading fans would write him off because of that, yet, we all love him.
