#OTD 1918, The Sandspur announced that the Class of '18 "was the largest number of candidates that has ever assembled to receive the Blue and Gold insignia of Rollins alumni" a few days prior. That record-breaking number over a century ago was 8!

Today we remember Reverend Jesse L. Jackson, who passed away last week. The civil rights leader once visited #RollinsCollege in 1973 to speak during the first Black Awareness Week sponsored by @rollinscollege_bsu.

In response to the Civil Rights Act, #RollinsCollege began integrating the student body in 1964. Enrolling in 1966, William Johnson, Lewanzer Lassiter, and Bernard Myers became the first African American students to graduate and become #RollinsAlumni in 1970!
