Weiss had to out-manage Philadelphia in a winner-take-all Game 3 to claim his first playoff series, and his moves show he did just that. #Braves

With the season on the line in Game 3, Holmes' history against Philadelphia and a strong September should have the Braves feeling good about giving him the ball. #Braves

After being asked a few questions in a row, Chris Sale gave arguably the answer of the year:

“Well, very confused at how I'm getting asked so many questions, and [Riley] won the game.” #Braves

WHAT A START TO THE POSTSEASON

Game 1 goes to the Braves!

(MLB x @AbbVie)

A bullpen game for the first time in Postseason history for a Game 1.

That's a rough look...

That Albies triple looked like an easy fly ball out that just kept carrying...

Put the ball in play and good things happen. #Braves

Justin Verlander's day was like something out of a movie.

How can you not be romantic about baseball? One of the best to ever do it.

Thanks for everything, JV.

Thank you, Justin Verlander 🧡

JV leaves the mound for the Tigers - one final time.

The Braves have made a habit of letting stars walk and finding replacements — but Acuña isn't a star who can be replaced.

Pitching coach Jeremy Hefner has quietly turned a "thin" rotation into a top-five staff — while his old team in New York falls apart without him.

One of Atlanta's biggest questions surrounding their pitching staff headed into October is what they'll do with Elder if and when he returns from injury.

The Mets could make history this week for all the wrong reasons: becoming the first pro sports franchise to spend $300+ million and finish last.

The lesson in Queens is becoming pretty clear: Money buys players. It doesn't buy a team.

Tonight we recognized our 2026 Roberto Clemente
Award Nominee, Austin Riley!

Acuña Jr. is considered day-to-day.

With a Postseason spot and the division wrapped up, it's worth considering shutting Acuña down for the final five games even if he's cleared before then.

They'll need him at full strength in October. Thoughts?

[Atlanta Braves @Braves]

OF Ronald Acuña Jr. left tonight’s game due to a left shin contusion. X-rays were negative and he is day-to-day.

Not too surprising. Eric Hartman is the #Braves’ Minor League Player of the Year

I don’t think enough #BravesCountry fans understand the job Jeremy Hefner has done this season.

He’s gone from having a dream top-five rotation to losing starters for the season, waiting on guys to return from injury, and relying on rookies to help keep this team in first place.

Even when the bullpen was overwhelmed and overused, he kept the entire staff focused on the goal: win the division and put this team in the best position to make a deep postseason run.

What he’s done with this pitching staff deserves a lot of credit.
