Gratitude. Respect. And one clear fact: every hero, every family of Ukrainian heroes, should have a home of their own – here, in Ukraine. This is the least our state can do for its defenders. Ukraine has survived thanks to all those who fight for Ukraine and those who are writing the history of our independent state.
I presented housing certificates to our Heroes and the families of fallen Heroes of Ukraine. Thank you. Thank you to everyone who is now in battle, at combat posts, and on combat missions.
Russia continues its deadly attacks against Ukrainian cities and communities. Strengthening our air defence is essential to protecting our people.
We are grateful to the Netherlands for continuing to support Ukraine’s air defence, including with ammunition for our F-16s.
This is practical support that helps us protect Ukrainian lives every day. Thank you, Netherlands. 🇺🇦🇳🇱
"...Ukraine’s victory must include a full restoration of Ukraine’s territorial integrity. It must also include reparations to be paid.
Russia must pay for this. It is crucial to punish war criminals..."
- Garry Kasparov
Awesome as always
Thank you 🫶🏽🫡
I congratulated our lyceum students on taking the oath on the occasion of the Day of Defenders of Ukraine. Thank you for choosing this work, this service, this mission – to be Ukraine’s defense, to be Ukraine’s strength, to be Ukraine’s hope. We very much want to end this war, and we are doing everything to make that happen – to bring peace to Ukraine and guarantee security. And we have to make it through this. And we are doing everything so that you can become security guarantors for a Ukraine that is already at peace. I wish this for you, and I believe that you will become truly outstanding officers of the Ukrainian military, of our Defense and Security Forces.
Thank you! I am proud of you and of all our warriors! May luck and strength be with you! Glory to Ukraine!
Russia is bombing Ukrainian schools, book warehouses, academy of sciences — places of Ukrainian learning and culture — in an effort to destroys tools and materials of Ukrainian national identity. For Russia, this was is not about a piece of land.
Today Ukraine marks four holidays at once: Defenders Day, the Day of Ukrainian Cossacks, Veterans Day, and Pokrova, the feast of the Protection of the Mother of God.
They belong together. In Ukrainian tradition, the Mother of God spreads her veil over her people to shield them, and the Cossacks took her as their patron. "It is no accident that we honor today's defenders of Ukraine and remember the Ukrainian Cossacks on the same day," said Commander-in-Chief of Ukraine's Armed Forces Mykhailo Drapatyi. "Defending the state is a continuity, the unbroken, exhausting work of different generations."
President Zelenskyy recorded his address at the front, quoting the late warrior and poet Maksym Kryvtsov: "When they ask me what war is, I will answer without hesitation: names." He thanked "the hundreds and hundreds of thousands of our warriors who stand as a shield so that Ukraine remains our home."
"We pay the highest price for the right to be Ukraine," Drapatyi said.
To all who serve, have served, and are coming home: thank you.
The front. This is where independence is won. And the path to peace runs through these very labyrinths, these very corridors. And when we say, “Ukraine is holding on,” this resilience begins right here at the front, in command posts like this and at every one of our positions – where Ukraine is – because Ukraine has defenders. Our warriors.
I thank you – everyone who is defending our life, our values, Ukraine’s right to exist, and the future of our entire state. I thank everyone who wears a patch on their shoulder, and on whose shoulders rests our independence.
With gratitude and respect to all our defenders, we say today:
Glory to you!
Glory to Ukraine!
Glory to the Heroes!
A detailed discussion with the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the military officials responsible for planning the production of Ukrainian weapons.
First, we approved our long-range operations for October.
Second, we identified the areas for the necessary supply of our F-16s by the end of the year. There are specific countries with which we are working on specific aviation packages. There will be a boost in the near future.
Third, the system for countering jet-powered “shaheds.” We identified the first prototypes that can already become effective weapons. There are clear timelines, funding, and production volumes that must be secured for this particular weapon.
We are also working on additional technological solutions for protection and a larger number of effective interceptors. Glory to Ukraine!
Karpivka near Lyman is back under Ukrainian control, border service says
Border guards of the Silver Three unit, part of the Pomsta (Revenge) brigade, fought alongside the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade to push Russian forces out of the village in Donetsk Oblast, Ukraine's State Border Guard Service said on 28 September. The fight was part of Operation Vivaldi, Ukraine's counteroffensive in the Lyman direction.
As proof of full control, the soldiers released video of themselves holding the Ukrainian flag and their unit banner in front of the village's ruins.
"Behind these short frames are heavy battles, sleepless nights, coordinated work, and the courage of Ukrainian warriors," the border service said.
Earlier, Ukrainian forces reported freeing Nove, Ridkodub, and Katerynivka.

Ukrainian National Academy of Sciences is burning after russian attack. Please support Ukrainian scientists and people who are trying to continue to work and create the future here despite everything, despite constant terror. I don't have words anymore.

Russian drones are hitting book warehouses all across Ukraine, becuase the destruction of Ukrainian language and culture is one their war's central goals.

Our athletes are dying. Some Ukrainian athletes are lying in operating rooms right now as a result of Russian shelling, and our stadiums and other sports facilities are being destroyed by Russian missiles.
But the IOC will keep talking about “sport out of politics” while bringing putin’s supporters back onto international sports arenas.
What cynicism this is.
The decision to delist Usmanov and Fridman is shameful and unjustifiable.
Moscow is celebrating because it got what it wanted: a sense of impunity, the humiliation of the EU, and division among Europeans.
But there is still a way to spoil the celebrations in Moscow. I urge all EU member states to announce now that they will impose their own national sanctions on these two individuals.
Russia hit a unique architectural monument, a historic building of Zaporizhzhia National University in Ukraine

Moscow on fire. As Ukraine expands its long-range sanctions in response to Russia’s continuous terror against Ukrainians, key oil industry and logistics facilities in the Moscow region and a facility in the Voronezh region were targeted overnight. These are the very elements that sustain Russia’s war machine.
In fact, Ukraine used up to 10 modern systems in the attacks – FP-1, RZ-100, MICH-2000, Palianytsia, Vendetta, Liutyi, Bars, Flamingo, Sichen, and Pelican.
Moscow must end the war and choose peace.
Our long-range responses had a very significant impact in the Moscow region last night. One of Russia’s key oil industry facilities and the aggressor’s logistics facility were hit. These are billions of dollars that sustain the war machine. The systems used included FP-1, RZ-100, MICH-2000, Palianytsia, Vendetta, Liutyi, Bars, Flamingo, Sichen, and Pelican.
I thank our warriors for their accuracy: the Security Service of Ukraine together with the Unmanned Systems Forces, the Special Operations Forces, the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, and the Foreign Intelligence Service. Sanctions were also imposed on a facility in the Voronezh region. Moscow must end its brutal war and choose peace instead of building layered rings of air defense at the expense of other regions. Steps toward de-escalation are on the table – in energy and food security. What is needed is political will. I thank everyone who is strengthening Ukraine’s long-range capabilities. I am grateful to everyone who complements our long-range responses with responses through sanctions. Glory to Ukraine!
