@NMC_Nigeria We appreciate the Council’s response, but this circular doesn’t address the main issue. How did only 9% pass an exam mostly written by resit candidates? Investigating schools alone isn’t enough. We need transparency on the exam process and scoring. @winexviv

The mass failure of students at the just released Public Health Nursing examination results in Nigeria, and the failure of the NMCN to be accountable is extremely concerning and shameful.

We are in a digital age with remarkable technological advancement. Technology is not infallible, but when technical errors occur especially in matters that directly affect the future of an entire generation of young nurses , a responsible regulator must step forward transparently, acknowledge the issue, and take swift corrective action to preserve the integrity of the profession.

The NMCN’s recent CBT exam glitch led to only 9% of nearly 2,000 RPHN candidates passing. Many were resitting after another mass failure in May. This outcome is unacceptable. Candidates should not be blamed for poorly functioning exam centers.

@funkynurseN @winexviv Curriculum or not, the questions for the November exams where fair enough, do you know what is 9% pass? When you write an exam, and you are confident enough that you got over 70% correctly, then you had a fail when the results were released, NMCN need to review this.

The Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) experienced a major glitch in their last CBT exam the held, which terribly affected the just released Public Health Nursing (RPHN) exam results, and only 9% (179 out of about 2000) candidates passed

This is the height of irresponsibility.

Even though most were resitting from similar mass failure in same exam that held in May.

This result will not hold!
