Presenting my recent work at #ANS2023. Wouldn’t it be great if we could tell the extent of #spinalcordinjury repair simply with a blood test?! Or how likely someone is to respond to treatments? We can, by developing new #biomarkers! @ClemJonesNeuro @JennyAKEkberg
@PhDVoice@PostdocVoice As long you are honest about the state of the results and interpret the findings accordingly, and (most importantly) it fits in your overall narrative, you should include it. Just check with your supervisor/university that you won’t be breaking any rules.
New Paper :
"This position paper is a roadmap to design new clinical trials with OEC based therapies for SCI. It analyzes all clinically relevant points to improve study design by studying past trials."

@i_patilgaurav@PhDVoice@AcademicChatter Yes, absolutely it is. Depending on where you are based and where the participants are, you may need to obtain just the 1 ethics approval. Without that, even the informed consent you obtain isn’t considered valid. Technically you need the approval prior to doing the survey.
@PhDVoice@PostdocVoice I think having this requirement makes the candidates think ahead and teaches them to plan for things that are not under their control. Come up with alternate ways such as collaborate with others to get a quick pub or publish a review paper.
#Kudos to you for winning the prize @FrancescaOieni! To do a poster so well in your pre-confirmation days, and on such a tedious topic! You are setting the bar higher with everything you do! Can’t wait to see what comes next!
